Project Focus gets stage at De Woonindustrie

Targeted search and contact with relevant suppliers

The Woonindustrie in Nieuwegein is increasingly evolving from retail center to full-fledged hotspot for project furnishers. During the recently launched Project Parade, it became clear how strongly the center is betting on this professional market. With 26 brands focusing explicitly on the project sector - from hospitality to office design - De Woonindustrie is becoming an increasingly important destination for architects, interior designers and project developers.

On April 14, over 150 professionals gathered at the Interior & Project Lunch, an inspiring afternoon full of meetings and knowledge sharing. Here the Project Parade was officially launched: a route along brands with a clear focus on the project market, brought together in a free guide. Participants could get acquainted the with companies serving the contract market and their products.

The visual presentation in the atrium offered a first impression. Project furnishings from PMP Furniture, Riviera Maison and Mobitec, among others, were displayed here in large format. At a glance, the diversity of the offerings within De Woonindustrie became apparent: from soft, modular seating to technically sophisticated lighting and acoustic solutions.

From hotel sector to office design

PMP Furniture clearly sees the project market growing. "We hope to gain even more new contacts through the Project Parade," said sales manager Coen Moree. "Our furniture is now in many Van der Valk hotels, but also in foreign restaurants and hotels. In addition, we are focusing more and more on office furnishings." The flexibility in design and production makes the brand attractive for a variety of applications.

Sustainability is an important factor in many projects; in this, lighting can also play a role. Quality LEDs, recently exhibitor at De Woonindustrie, represents brands that distinguish themselves in this area. Art Maker's handmade wooden fixtures and Think Paper's lamps - made from recycled paper - are real eye-catchers. "Some of Think Paper's lamps are two meters high," explains account manager Mauro Lomartire. "They are used almost as art objects in large spaces such as hotel lobbies and restaurants."

At Passe Partout and Haans Lifestyle, it becomes clear how important presentation is. With a combined 1,150 m² of showroom space, they offer a complete experience for project decorators. "Our showroom does half the work," says Henri Schepers with a wink. The offer ranges from comfortable seating to atmospheric accessories, suitable for a variety of project applications. Interestingly, the brand also works for project orders through their established dealer network, which guarantees continuity in service and quality.

Custom acoustic design

Maeven Art is all about the balance between aesthetics and functionality. Their wall and ceiling panels made of PET felt improve acoustics as well as add character to a room. "We offer three types of panels in four collections, which are almost always available immediately," says Thamar Ozir "Thanks to the modular system, we can design a suitable solution for every project. We like to think along with designers and architects - that's our strength."

Cartel Living also stresses the importance of local production. "We carry out more and more projects, such as hotels and vacation parks," explains Martin Tersteeg. "The fact that we produce in the Netherlands makes us flexible. We can respond quickly to clients' wishes and deliver customized products without long delivery times."

A center in motion

The shift within De Woonindustrie toward the project market is not just a trend, but a deliberate strategy. The bundling of brands in the Project Parade makes it easier for professionals to search for and contact relevant suppliers in a targeted way. The Project Parade is now a regular route within De Woonindustrie and every Monday during Marketday.
