Casambi makes lighting sustainable and smart using wireless Bluetooth Mesh technology.

It allows you to control each type of fixture individually or in groups. Energy savings are achieved through smart automation, such as daylight-dependent control and occupancy detection, which immediately eliminate unnecessary power consumption.

The sustainable and ecological benefits of Casambi are particularly evident in the following key points:

• Reduced material usage (less cabling): Because the system communicates entirely wirelessly, it requires significantly less copper wiring and installation materials compared to traditional wired home automation systems.
• Energy efficiency: Thanks to programmed schedules, motion sensors, and daylight sensors, the lights are never on longer or brighter than necessary.
• No central hub required: Because all the fixtures communicate with each other via a mesh network, there is no need for a central server or controller, which results in less electronic waste and low power consumption.

• Reduces CO2 emissions: It is no longer necessary to run cables through the wall for wired communication to and from the switches and the meter box.
• Integration with other networks: Since 2026, large buildings have been required to comply with GACS requirements. Using a gateway, an (existing) Dali, KNX, DMX, and Protopixel network can be connected to Casambi. This allows you to comply with EPBD III regulations for building management systems without major renovations.
