3X party!

3X party!

After nearly 3 years of PaletteCAD 9, the new version of PaletteCAD was launched during the summer of 2020. This latest version of the 3D design software has been prepared for the future in many areas. More beautiful, faster and at the forefront of the latest technological developments. Besides the new release, 2020 is a special year because Tom Smeets, owner of PaletteCAD.nl BV has a 10-year anniversary.

Sander Tiems and his son Jeroen Smeets have become co-owners since this year. PaletteCAD.nl will continue under the new trade name PaletteCAD Netherlands. Tom has deliberately chosen to look for an internal succession in order to maintain the service, quality and family character of PaletteCAD. No strategic takeover!

PaletteCAD 10 toast

Better programmed

What is immediately noticeable about the new version is that the interface looks updated and modern. PaletteCAD has drawn a resemblance to Windows 10 here. After that, it is noticeable that the program responds faster to commands. This is because parts of the program have been rewritten and written out more logically in a unified programming language. It computes faster. As a result, PaletteCAD can more easily handle large drawings.

New render engine

The other big change is in the areas of rendering, material properties and lighting. What PaletteCAD has always been good at and is now getting even better at is the quality of presentation to the customer. With a new technique, rendering is improved and faster in many ways. Lighting is easier to set and feels even more natural. Material properties are easier to set and the effect is immediately visible in photo quality. Examples of material properties that have been further developed are light absorption and light reflection. For example, consider how leather reacts differently to light than plastic. With version 10, you can even continue to design while PaletteCAD is rendering, saving a tremendous amount of time.

Integration Opportunities

Currently, software integration is a hot topic. Everything must be linked for the most efficient operations and everything must be extracted from it what it contains. This is where PaletteCAD cleverly responds. The CLOUD is now visible as a folder in Windows Explorer, making it even easier to share files. Via the CLOUD, the PaletteSHOWROOM with all elaborate project presentations and filters can be integrated on the own company website. It is clear that this offers many possibilities in terms of sales. STEP files, IFC files and Sketchup files can now be imported and exported so that all commonly used 2D and 3D file formats can now be used in PaletteCAD. Collaboration with your interior designer, tiler or subcontractor is now even easier!
