At the Workplace Design Show in Hall 5 of RAI Amsterdam, visitors will discover sensory spaces in every corner (November 5 and 6, 2025)

Where the most creative companies turn workplaces into tangible experiences

On November 5 and 6, the Workspace Design Show takes place at the RAI Amsterdam. Visitors here can not only think about an ideal workplace, but also feel the answers. In Hall 5, five of the country's most creative design studios have transformed conversations into atmosphere and theory in a tangible environment. You can smell, hear, adjust and make the spaces your own.

Behind each design is a personal story, from understated rituals to unexpected moments of inspiration.

Design Talks Space, designed by UNS and co-sponsored by Big Brands

This space was created from fragments: sticky bills, quick sketches, reused materials and lots of laughter. During brainstorming, someone suggested that the space should "hear the audience," and eventually team members studied and compared photos of their own ears. It was a playful yet symbolic moment that inspired the acoustic design of the space. The lounge is not decorated in a traditional way, but composed of past lives. Each aspect has a history and its own "design passport."

The Design Talks Lounge is a dynamic space where experiences, stories and connections are formed. Colors inspire, textures excite and gradually changing light allows you to come to new points of view. The lounge changes with each meeting. This is a sustainable gathering place where recycled elements blur boundaries and people are invited to connect, share and imagine together a new picture of what is possible. Designed by UNS. Made possible in part by Big Brands. Suppliers include Bolon, Flokk, Molo, Pla-sis and Array Lighting.

Occupiers Forum Space, designed by Casper Schwarz Architects and co-facilitated by FacilityLinq

The design is inspired by the concept of "speakers," both speakers and objects. Floating shapes and color transitions act as echoing sound waves, directing focus to the stage. Translucent borders create an immersive world and enhance the experience of engaging speakers who draw the audience into their story, emphasizing connection, creativity and collective inspiration. Designed by Casper Schwarz Architects. One of the partners was FacilityLinq, and as suppliers, the designers chose Cecoceco, MOMO Rugs, Kvadrat, Andreu World, Vitra and Teamwork Interiors.

Radiance Visitor Lounge, designed by M Moser Associates

Before a concept emerged for this space, there was a feeling: from sunrise to sunset. The designers began not with the furnishings, but with an emotional transition from a quiet morning to the glow of evening. The MIRO board reflected the dawn in all its colors, complemented by hand-sketched impressions by in-house illustrator Glen and unexpected references from art magazines and design journals. The team also experimented with Midjourney to test distinctive atmospheres and color palettes for rugs with AI - not as a substitute for the designer's eye, but to accelerate intuition.

Within the Workspace Design Show, M Moser's Radiance Lounge is the exclusive hub for food and drink and therefore socializing. The lounge is brought to life in collaboration with trusted partners.

The lighting follows a natural daily rhythm with concentration in the morning, energy in the afternoon and lively evenings. Other design elements also make the flow of the day tangible, contributing to greater well-being and connection with other people. Experience a space where changing light, carefully composed soundscapes and special scents activate the senses. Designed by M Moser Associates. Partners include Fest, Green Stores, Studio HENK, Inclass, Lykele, Mcart, Nora Nora, Signify, Kvadrat, Tarkett, Ege and Living Projects.

Workplace Experience Talks, designed by Mecanoo and co-sponsored by Branding Office Furniture

The designers started not with walls, but with human behavior. They saw colleagues switching smoothly between working alone, quick exchange and deep collaboration, and decided to translate those dynamics into a space. Wooden sticks represent structure, woven fabrics represent softness. Together, they form smooth borders, which invite movement. It is a design based on observations and instinct, without artificial intelligence.

Mecanoo's pavilion for the Workspace Design Show explores the changing nature of the modern work environment, focused on collaboration, people and increasing diversity. Deliberately designed with blurred boundaries, the pavilion invites interaction and curiosity. The transitions between inside and outside and formal and informal are not firmly defined, and the design encourages spontaneous interaction from every angle. Designed by Mecanoo. Made possible in part by Branding Office Furniture. Suppliers include Texfel and Bert Plantagie.

Mood Board Contest Area, designed by Biophilic Design Academy

The story began not in a studio, but in the woods. Founder Lianne leaned against a tree and felt the moss in her hands and the sun on her face. And she wanted to bring this feeling to a trade show booth. The first idea was movement, of light curtains and air movement instead of walls. Each feeling element was later linked to one of 15 recognized patterns of biophilic design. Participating is also tangible: visitors don't just look, they create.

It is a biophilic experience for all the senses, where the effects of nature can be felt. Experience design that promotes well-being, connect with sustainable innovators and enter the competition: Create your own biophilic mood board and win great prizes. Let nature fuel your creativity! The space activates the senses like a digital garden. The design demonstrates holistic office design, focusing on hospitality and its potential benefits. In doing so, this environment also aligns well with the Workplace Design Show's overarching theme of "Activate the Senses," featuring sensory spaces that people can immerse themselves in to promote well-being, productivity and contact in the workplace. Designed by Biophillic Design Academy. Partners include Duracryl, A+N, Cooloo, Nuna Walls, Koninklijke Ginkel Groep, Green Paints, Compost Board, Royal Vriesco, Sense to Connect, Van Hier, De Klerk, Planq and Studio Wae.
