The supplier specializes in aluminum windows, doors, sliding doors, folding walls and facades. Here the company supports the client from design to assembly.
Thermal2 emerged in 2013 from Thermal, which had been engaged in aluminum windows, doors, sliding doors, folding walls and facades for 40 years. Already since 1976, "Quality on time" was the main policy focus. This, in its own words, gave the company an outstanding reputation for reliability among construction partners, both for large and small projects, in new construction or renovation. A buyout took place in 2016, by John Brands and associate Johan Simon: "We then really went back to basics and focused on what we are good at."
Thermal 2 set out a route for five years. The goal was to build a strong customer base in that time. "This has absolutely succeeded, we have grown in sales, and consequently in terms of personnel. Now we are at a point where we want to improve our efficiency and make our business more sustainable."
By automating and working more efficiently, Thermal2 can tackle even more projects. "By investing in new machinery and improving our production layout, we can take our production to the next level."
"Sustainability is also very important to us. We're not just shouting that, we're working toward going gas-free. In the office, several energy-saving measures are already
taken, in addition, we seek collaboration with partners who provide products that are also sustainable. This is an additional way to improve our carbon footprint."
The whole process, we have in-house. Work preparation, engineering, project supervision, planning ... we keep it in our own hands.
"We have great clout because we are not dependent on the whims of other companies in the process. In addition to our own production facilities, we assemble our products with our own permanent assembly crews. This gives us flexibility."
Brands is positive about the future. "There is still some uncertainty because of the corona crisis, but if I look at the signals in the market, the prospects in terms of construction are very good. We also notice this in the amount of signed orders, which gives peace of mind and looks very good. The improvements within our company mean that we can continue to grow and process larger volumes. This also puts us in the picture more often for large projects."
