Light+Building returns as of old. The familiar spot in the spring will once again be occupied, as will all the trade fair buildings on the large grounds of Messe Frankfurt. It will be over the heads again, this time from March 3 to 8, 2024.
Each edition of Light+Building will have an overarching theme from the organization. In 2024, the motto will be "Be electrified. "Sustainability, connectivity, lighting and by extension living, trends we cannot avoid," said Johannes Möller, Director Light+Building. "We do see one common aspect with the products that interact with these. They need electricity or they deal with it. Electrified, in other words."
The rearrangement of the exhibition halls and exhibitors is immediately noticeable. "With a few interventions, we ensure a better cohesion of exhibitors as well as a more efficient fair visit," Möller explains. "No more Hall 1, which was a bit out of direction. No more exhibitor space in the Festhallen either. From now on we will find all manufacturers, large and small, in the 'normal' halls where we have grouped them well by sector. Design by design, components by components, etc. The fact that a number of well-known and major players in the lighting sector, such as Artemide, RZB, Zumtobel and Delta Light, have confirmed their participation early on is a positive sign. And that both to the visitors and the sector as well as to us as an organization."
"Building covers a very broad spectrum of product categories," Möller emphasizes. "Just look in your own home or apartment. Building management systems control curtains and blinds, heating, cooling and ventilation. Solar panels and heat pumps are part of it. Charging systems for electric cars are becoming more popular. Distribution boards need to be built, cables pulled... The 'Security' section with video cameras, smart entrance systems and other components also deserves our attention. A nice palette of 'Building' product categories that manufacturers like Gira, Hager, Legrand, Jung, Viesmann, Schneider Electric, Wago, and Basalte want to be a part of."
Very practical for a moment. The Messe Frankfurt fair buildings ... that's where you fly, drive or rail to discover all the exhibitors, and there are more than 2,000 of them. Block off the period from March 3 to 8, 2024 in your calendar and book your trip right away. You will also find an exhibitor list on the Light+Building website to make walking around the fair more efficient. "Finally back to business as usual," concludes Johannes Möller. "Everyone is welcome to Frankfurt."
