Seamless invisible fire-resistant doors are all the rage

There's a door, but you can't see it. For years, Xinnix has been designing, creating and manufacturing patented door systems that are completely flush with the wall, with no frames, hinges or other unevenness to be seen. These include ordinary swing and sliding door systems, but recently the demand has been increasing for acoustic and, above all, fire-resistant systems. The specialist obtained certification (EI1 30) for fire-resistant interior doors up to 3 meters high in combination with a wide variety of door hardware. One has also launched the first magnetic anti-panic lock with EI130 certification.

The name Xinnix ("I see nothing") is synonymous with seamless invisible door systems. To realize such frameless doors, pre-painted aluminum frames that are mounted in the wall are used. They come standard with 3D independently adjustable hinges and a Xinnix magnetic lock. More than 30 different locking methods are possible, including electronic three-point locking.

The range also includes sliding door systems, which allow wooden or glass doors up to 3500 mm high and up to 3000 mm wide per door leaf, to slide completely into a wall.

"We supply systems for full flush swing doors up to a height of 3,500 mm, but the range also includes sliding door systems, which allow wooden or glass doors up to 3,500 mm high and up to 3,000 mm wide per door leaf, to slide completely into a wall of ordinary thickness. We also developed the XP50© recessed skirting boards and offer our own range of door handles," stated spokesman Laurens Vermeulen.

"Architects and clients today also integrate acoustic and fire-resistant doors into a wide variety of projects. This is why our range includes systems for the complete seamless and invisible integration of such doors. Thus, the classic cumbersome fire door can be replaced by a design Xinnix solution."

Certified fire-resistant interior doors and anti-panic lock In order to continue to meet the increasingly stringent requirements in terms of safety, acoustics and fire resistance, Xinnix must continue to invest in the optimization of existing products, the development of new solutions and testing. Thus, the company obtained a certificate (EI1 30) for fire-resistant interior doors up to 3000 mm high in combination with a wide variety of door fittings, making it possible to apply any type of invisible door closer in combination with anti-panic locks, multi-point locks or
Last year we successfully tested a double fire door for 45 minutes (EI145). In that door combination, a magnetic anti-panic lock was also tested. This lock unlocks a completely closed door in case of panic by using the door handle," explains Vermeulen. "This anti-panic lock was tested in a double Xinnix door and can therefore be used for both single and double fire-rated and non-fire-rated doors. It is immediately the first magnetic anti-panic lock worldwide with EI1 certification, which combines the aesthetics of magnetic locks with safety for panic situations."

The choice of the right lock here is determined by the direction of escape and not by the direction of rotation of the door. After all, in the direction of escape you can have either a left- or a right-handed door. The direction of escape indicates the side where the handle unlocks the lock completely. In order for the lock to function, the door needs a handle with split handle pin or a fixed knob-lever combination with change pin. These are supplied to order by Xinnix.
