Soundblox; solution for the facade

In an apartment building on the provincial road in Aalsmeer, Soundblox in the facade provide a pleasant acoustic climate in the public space. The architect chose a glass facade to protect the residents from the noise of passing traffic and exhaust fumes. It looks beautiful but acoustically a real challenge.

Without an adequate soundproofing solution, sound would reflect unhindered between the glass outer façade and the inner façade, creating an unlivable acoustic climate. How do you solve that without making concessions to the aesthetic design? In this particular case, the architect chose a solution with Soundblox and these concessions turned out to be unnecessary!

Soundblox as a solution in the facade.

This solves the problem of acoustics in an excellent way. Thanks to their good weather resistance, Soundblox can also form a solution in a complete exterior wall. Soundblox provide both sound absorption and sound insulation. Also the fire safety is good.

There is a persistent misconception that you don't need sound absorption in an outdoor situation! However, under a canopy or in parking garages, (outdoor) swimming pools and schoolyards, where annoying fluttering echoes make playing a lot less fun, a sound-absorbing solution is certainly not an unnecessary luxury.

Also for houses and apartment buildings directly on the highway or at railway stations there can be inconvenience doSoundblox acoustic concrete blocks can help in these situations to create a sound barrier and at the same time absorb excess noise. or loud noises from passing traffic and trains.
