Glass balustrade system with unique features

This year, the system was awarded a Red Dot Award in the "Innovative Product" category. We are talking about VetroMount, the unique glass balustrade system from Bohle AG. The VetroMount system is based on the ingenious idea of the cable tie principle and is extremely easy to install. This also convinced the jury of the Red Dot Awards.

At the core is the unique glass mounting system, which secures the glass panels in the profile with a simple push-pull movement."

In-house developed concept

VetroMount was developed entirely in-house by Bohle and scores highly in terms of functionality. "After the patented and pre-assembled glass fasteners have been placed in the profile at an even distance of one meter and the glass plate has been fitted, assembly is carried out in three steps. First, you clamp the glass plate into the glass plate fasteners, using two mounting wedges. Then you adjust the tilt of the panes by hand, which is done without tools. Finally, you anchor the glass panes securely in the profile with a simple push-pull motion. Adjustments can easily be made from the walking side," Frank outlines.

A timeless alternative to metal or wood

"Especially in a modern and architecturally designed space, the material glass is a timeless alternative to traditional materials, such as metal or wood," continues Frank. "Stairs or a maisonette with glass balustrade add visual elegance and maximum transparency to any space. VetroMount's profile system creates clean lines and open spaces that allow generous views." 

VetroMount is suitable for top and side mounting. For top mounting, a concrete screw (ETA) is only required every 400 mm for fastening the profile. Stainless steel screws are used for outside and galvanized screws for inside. For side mounting, a screw is used every 200 mm. The profile is pre-drilled every 200 mm.
