'The perfect range for every project'
The R&D department of Exterus, the leading lighting manufacturer, is constantly working on new designs. The latest fixture, named Wally and named after a loyal customer, takes center stage. Director and owner, Juri Vannieuwenborgh, enthusiastically shares key details about the new model and reveals the company's future plans.
Exterus is an innovative company based in Roeselare, Belgium, that manufactures lighting products and solutions for various sectors, including the hospitality industry and for commercial and residential use. Vannieuwenborgh says, "We not only offer an extensive standard range, but also provide customization and various other services. We listen carefully to our customers and develop and produce luminaires that perfectly match their needs. This is also how Wally came about."
Unlike previous models, such as Nala, the new lamp has a spherical design. Vannieuwenborgh explains: "While in the past we mainly emphasized sleek tube shapes, this newcomer perfectly complements our range. Wally is compact but offers a brightness of 515 lumens at a consumption of only 6W. The lamp is available in several finishes, including champagne, gun metal, bronze, black and white. We have noticed that champagne, in addition to black and white, is increasingly being chosen."
Wally is extraordinarily versatile. The luminaire is available in fixed or adjustable options and can be used as a recessed, surface-mounted or pendant luminaire. In addition, customers can choose from different beam angles (16°, 36° or 50°) and color temperatures. The lamp can be effortlessly fixed in Powerline profiles and is also compatible with the magnetic a-track-tif profile.
Vannieuwenborgh shares, "The response to the new model has been extremely positive. It is a beautiful lamp that is suitable for various types of projects thanks to its versatility. It is slightly more compact than other models, which is clearly in demand. A customer who came by recently immediately chose this model. By thinking with our customers, we have created a range that allows us to handle any project."
The customer after whom the Wally was named was also extremely satisfied with the new fixture, according to Vannieuwenborgh.
To continue meeting the needs of clients, Exterus is expanding significantly. Vannieuwenborgh explains: "Once the construction work is completed, our premises will double in size. We have grown so much that this has really become necessary. Three years ago we already completed an expansion on one side, and now we are expanding further on the other side. This allows us to separate the warehouse from production, creating more space. We are adding 400m² to our office space and 1500m² to the warehouse and production. We can then keep a large inventory, making us very flexible. If something is needed tonight, we can often deliver it right away."
