RED DOT AWARD FOR SUSTAINABLE PRODUCT DESIGN
A big stage and a solemn award: at the Red Dot Award Gala 2025 in Essen, REHAU Window Solutions received the renowned Red Dot Award in the Sustainable Product Design category for the ARTEVO TERRA premium window system. With this sustainable innovation and outstanding design, REHAU Window Solutions once again manages to convince at the highest level internationally. For the premium system solution ARTEVO, this red dot award is already the third international design award in just over a year.
Back in May 2025, it was announced that the expert jury of the renowned Red Dot Award had awarded ARTEVO TERRA for its sustainable design. It is now clear that REHAU has actually won the award, within the Sustainable Product Design meta-category. This category distinguishes products that push boundaries in terms of efficient use of resources, longevity and recyclability.
“ARTEVO TERRA demonstrates how technological excellence, a recycling rate of up to 78 percent and innovative materials such as fiberglass reinforcement can be successfully combined into a groundbreaking system,” said Frank Zimmermann, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at REHAU Window Solutions. “The award in Essen represents another great recognition of our innovations and is good news for window specialists worldwide.”

Following the iF Design Award 2025 and German Design Award 2025, this is already the third international design award for profile system ARTEVO TERRA. This not only proves that ARTEVO TERRA is a convincing product, but also substantiates its unique properties: sustainably developed, future-oriented positioning and multiple international awards.
ARTEVO TERRA is REHAU Window Solutions“ crowning achievement in sustainability. ”The window system combines ISCC-PLUS certified bio-attributed PVC in the top layer, recycled PVC in the profile core and minimal use of steel reinforcements. This minimizes the carbon footprint without compromising on design and performance,“ says Koen Schepens, sales manager Window Solutions Benelux at REHAU. ”This additional variant alongside ARTEVO max complements the ARTEVO system family and, together with SYNEGO AD/MD, is part of the 80 mm platform."
Absolute freedom of choice with one solution to fit every business and use case. But also: groundbreaking durability. ARTEVO TERRA is the first premium window system to offer 360° performance in all areas and for all audiences. The system contains bio-attributed PVC in the top layer, whose polymer matrix for 100% consists of plant-based raw materials. This results in a carbon footprint some 90% lower than that of conventionally produced PVC. ARTEVO TERRA thus opens up new dimensions of sustainability, based on a fully closed circular economy, managed by REHAU Window Solutions and without sacrificing design and innovative
functions.
With some 20,000 entries each year, the Red Dot Design Award is one of the largest design competitions in the world. The award, which was introduced by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen, has three different disciplines: product design, brand and communication design and design concepts. The internationally renowned Red Dot quality label itself stands for first-class design and outstanding innovation.
