The physical key disappears

Siedle is one of the leading manufacturers of building communication technology in Germany and the rest of Europe. The family-run company produces everything that serves communication in and around the home. Siedle Secure is Siedle's new product family for access control.

In the past, professional access control was only used by companies, but now we are seeing a rise in demand as the need to use access control in private homes is also increasing." Siedle even expects that opening a door with a physical key will become an exception in the relatively near future. 

Siedle Secure is Siedle's new access control product family. The focus is on the new product Secure Controller. The powerful system center for access control in residential and commercial buildings is particularly user-friendly and sets the tone in terms of value for money, according to the company.

Easy installation

The Siedle Secure Controller can be commissioned and configured without special specialist knowledge. This is made possible by the web-based assistance program, the wizard. Combined with the clear user interface, installation is simple, fast and secure. The controller is ready to use in just a few steps. Administration is also done via the Internet, so no expensive support through the manufacturer is required; in addition, there are no license fees for feature extensions. The price of 1733 euros already includes the full range of functions of Siedle access control, with no hidden additional costs.

Two connection sockets, two protocols

The Siedle Secure Controller supports 2 transmission protocols simultaneously: two separate bus lines make this possible. In addition to Siedle's Vario bus, the controller also operates the Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) for corresponding third-party modules. The variobus integrates up to 16 reader modules (8 per bus). A maximum of 4 doors can be operated per controller. To integrate additional doors, even at different building locations, up to 64 controllers can be directly interconnected. Siedle access control operates system-independently.  

One controller, many features

According to the company, the Secure Controller offers state-of-the-art security standards and technology and nearly unlimited capabilities for users and access profiles. This also makes the controller attractive for larger projects in the residential and commercial sectors. The controller can be used to control and manage all opening, closing and other switching mechanisms, for example for stair lighting, as well as up to 1,000 access and time profiles and virtually any number of users.

Siedle Secure product family

The Siedle Secure product family includes the new Secure Controller, the high-performance system central unit for access control in residential and commercial buildings, the updated RFID transponders and the Siedle readID One reading device, which reads transponder and user data very conveniently via Plug+Play.

The new transponders are equipped with a 13.56 Mhz antenna and support MIFARE DESFire-EV2 technology, currently the highest security standard for electronic identification (RFID). The key fobs are available immediately, with the credit card format due in December 2021.
