A beautiful curtain deserves a high-quality and ingenious hanging system

Not for nothing do architects, interior stylists and end customers pay explicit attention to this. Rail and rod systems are increasingly being included in this, Ed Jansen van Doorn of Interstil has noticed. "Not surprisingly, because a beautiful rail or rod really completes a curtain. Not for nothing do we use the slogan 'We present your fabrics'."

Interstil is a German family business, founded in 1967, that develops, manufactures and supplies design-oriented rail and rod systems. "In the Netherlands, we have been supplying since 2009 and directly from the factory to the retailer, architect or interior stylist. Without intermediaries. This also allows us to advise customers directly," said Jansen van Doorn. "For example with challenging spaces, height differences in ceilings or specific wishes. What is unique about our company is that we do almost everything ourselves. From design to production and surface treatment. Moreover, we develop and make our own machines. As a result, we are not dependent on third parties and can guarantee our own high quality."

A suitable solution for every window and every window

"We can make almost anything," emphasizes Jansen van Doorn. "For every window and every window we offer a suitable solution. Regardless of whether the customer is looking for a classic brass or bronze colored rod with a ribbed design and heavy embrasse supports or, on the contrary, a modern square or flat garniture in black or anthracite. And if the solution is not standard, we are happy to develop an alternative. Our factory has rails of up to 6 meters in length in stock as standard. In addition, we have an extensive range of wall and ceiling supports, which can be shortened or extended as required."

In addition to 9 standard colors, architects, interior stylists and end customers have a choice of all possible (RAL) colors. "If desired, we can finish the rails and components in exactly the same color, creating an aesthetically high-quality whole. Not for nothing have we been awarded many international design awards in recent years."

No compromises

All products are manufactured from raw material to surface treatment and to the millimeter at the Interstil plant in Steinhagen, Germany. "Many parts are milled from solid material," said Jansen van Doorn. "Using our own templates, we manufacture series parts on high-speed machines. In the running channels of the profiles we also apply an additional, self-developed and exclusive powder coating with excellent sliding properties, which makes the curtains shift very lightly and silently." Interstil also makes no compromises when assembling the trimmings and relies on its self-developed machines. "The result consists of precise assembly, the perfect look and feather-light operation."

Fast delivery times

After production, all rail and rod systems are neatly packaged and shipped directly from the factory to the retailer or end customer. "All products come directly from the factory in Germany," emphasizes Jansen van Doorn. "In the Netherlands we have no products in stock, but that is also not necessary with our fast delivery times of 10-15 days on average."
