In a good design, the details are very important, such as a front door that completely matches the style of the property. This is the specialty of the Frager brand, which begins the year with three innovations for classic and monumental homes. General Manager Franck de Munster explains that improvements and innovations are constantly being worked on. "We look at existing solutions and figure out how to make them even better with new materials and techniques."
Within Frager's collection you can find front doors to suit any architectural style, from classic to timeless, contemporary to modern and groundbreaking. With the latest developments, the brand responds to the demand for stylish and functional solutions for classic and monumental doors, without sacrificing ease of use and ease of maintenance.
Grilles and grilles regularly reappear in the market. The classic variant was mounted in front of the glass, fulfilling a decorative and protective function. Frager is now introducing a unique solution where the grille is built in between the glass. This difference is actually not visible, but obviously makes it much easier to keep the glass clean. The grille is made to measure, out of 5 mm aluminum. For those who still want a grille on the door itself, Frager offers a new surface-mounted grille. "You see these grilles a lot in the Netherlands and we developed a solution for this as well."
The Mondrian surface mounted grille (also made of 5mm aluminum) is placed on the door with 4 to 6 attachment points. For this, Frager works with strong magnets so that it can be easily removed for maintenance. "This is important to be able to keep the window clean," says De Munster. "In the past, windows in a front door often opened inward. Because of the insulation value, this is no longer the case. With our system, it is still possible to clean the glass properly." The grilles are custom-made to the millimeter and are available in all RAL colors. Decorative elements can be added optionally, making the possibilities virtually endless. "This innovation has already generated many positive reactions in the Netherlands within a month, especially as a way to give traditional architecture a modern twist."
The third innovation concerns the Ferforgé, a design in which the entire door is considered a grille. This concept is a contemporary interpretation of the classic wrought-iron doors that were widely used in urban mansions. In Flanders, they were often used as front doors for glass doors, but Frager has found a way to apply this design to plastic and aluminum doors as well. A slim profile is placed on the door leaf, into which the grille is easily hooked and can be removed for maintenance. This can only be done when the door is open, ensuring safety. Whereas traditional wrought iron doors were often limited to fixed sizes due to the sand casting process, with aluminum Frager offers a flexible custom solution in any RAL color.
