Taking joint responsibility for sustainability. An expansion of the ARTEVO premium system. The introduction of a new digital surface finish and a new generation of software solutions. At Fensterbau Frontale, the REHAU Window Solutions booth was brimming with innovations. What’s more, architects and window specialists got a sneak peek at the future…

A few weeks after Fensterbau Frontale, Koen Schepens, Sales Manager for Window Solutions Benelux at REHAU, looks back on a very successful trade show. “We clearly surprised our visitors,” he says. “Both with our current innovations and our future developments.” 

As an example, he cites the expansion of the ARTEVO premium window system. “Thanks to the introduction of an 80-mm sash and frame profile, our fiberglass-reinforced ARTEVO profile system is now also suitable for front door profiles and lift-and-slide door systems.” 

REHAU Window Solutions also presented numerous new digital services, such as REHAU CONNECT+, which simplifies and accelerates innovation and creates new opportunities. “As the central digital platform for window manufacturers, dealers, architects, and planners, REHAU CONNECT+ offers many new benefits—from inquiry to planning and from production to installation and service.” 

New system threshold for lift-and-slide door system

With the EASYSTEP 80 LS threshold, REHAU Window Solutions introduced a new system threshold that is compatible with both the ARTEVO and SYNEGO lift-and-slide door systems. “For the production of the EASYSTEP 80 LS, we use a new raw material, RAU‑FIPRO X, which we developed entirely in-house. At its core is a fiber-reinforced composite material mixed with short glass fibers, ensuring optimal profile stability and high U-values—without the need for additional steel or metal reinforcements. This reduces weight and makes recycling possible in the future.” The EASYSTEP 80 LS threshold is available in both gray and black. 

Sustainability as a common thread

The EASYSTEP 80 LS threshold fits perfectly with the sustainability narrative that runs as a common thread through all of REHAU Window Solutions“ innovations. ”We ensure that all profile system developments we introduce are 100% recyclable,“ says Schepens. ”And our digital solutions also align with the sustainability trend. A great example is the REHAU Window.ID, which fully complies with European guidelines for a Digital Product Passport (DPP) and guarantees complete traceability throughout the entire lifecycle of a window system. Using a window ID card, end users can easily access installation and maintenance instructions, certificates, and maintenance information, while window and door manufacturers also gain insight into the window’s complete history. For example, which system profile is the window constructed from? What additions have been made? And what are the exact glass dimensions? Based on this information, they can easily service the components, and 100% recycling becomes possible.”

Digital Printing as the Color Scheme of the Future

The new digital printing process was also sustainable, expanding REHAU Window Solutions“ range of finishing technologies to five. ”In addition to standard film, WOODEC film, aluminum cladding, and wet-paint technology, we now also have digital printing technology,“ said Schepens. ”This process uses industrial digital printing technology with inorganic inks and UV varnish, ensuring high color fastness and weather resistance. Colors, gloss levels, and tactile textures—such as realistic wood surfaces—can be produced in high resolution and with reproducible quality. Thanks to the new digital printing technology, both architects and end users benefit from high flexibility in colors and designs, a sustainable coloring process, and strong differentiation. Users are no longer limited to existing designs, ensuring optimal design freedom.”
