VELUX is expanding its skylight lineup with the new standard-glass skylight, which will be available starting in September 2026. The new model is a further development of the classic glazed skylight. The existing PVC flashing with laminated glass on the inside remains unchanged. New is the flat outer shell made of tempered glass with an aluminum frame around it.
The new skylight combines a sleek, modern design with excellent value for money. As a result, it meets a wide range of design needs in both residential construction and light commercial construction, such as schools and offices.
Compared to the dome version, the skylight features an elegant exterior finish of glass and aluminum that is durable and easy to clean. It also produces less light reflection when viewed from the inside and offers improved thermal performance.
The skylight also offers a high degree of sound insulation and meets resistance class 2 for burglary resistance. As a result, the skylight is eligible for the Politiekeurmerk Veilig Wonen® (PKVW) certification.
The skylight is available in a fixed (CFP) and an electrically operated (CVP) version. The electrically operated version comes standard with an integrated rain sensor. The skylight can be installed on roofs with a pitch ranging from 2° to 15° and is compatible with existing heat-shielding and window treatments: exterior sunshades, light-filtering pleated blinds, and blackout pleated blinds with extra insulation. The flashing is the same as that used with the dome model and is already familiar to contractors, making installation quick and easy.

The new skylight with standard ISG 2093 glass is available in eight sizes: 60 × 60, 60 × 90, 80 × 80, 90 × 90, 90 × 120, 100 × 100, 100 × 150, and 120 × 120 cm. The product is suitable for both new installations and for replacing and upgrading existing ISD domes on fixed (CFP) or electric (CVP) skylights.
