Bright office for MFI Coatings with sleek glass walls

Powder coating specialist MFI Coatings, based in Paal, was in need of a new office building. The former building was outdated and lacked appeal, both for employees and customers. The company opted for a completely new construction, with a strong focus on the interior design. The steel-look partition walls divide the office space without compromising the sense of openness and the abundance of natural light. Divina by Arlu proved to be the ideal solution for this project.

Transparency as a Design Principle

The new office was to be a contemporary building with a strong presence. Interior designer Jo Lamberts drew up a design that was an instant hit, recalls CEO Erik Van Hool: “Conceptually, we really had no comments. We were also immediately charmed by the steel-look interior joinery. It fit perfectly with the openness and clean-lined interior style we had in mind.” With that design, Van Hool approached Glaswerken Van Regenmortel, among others. The experienced installer proposed various solutions for the glass partitions and doors. Ultimately, the choice fell on ARLU’s “divina.”.

Eye for detail

“This system best met the client’s needs,” says co-manager Julie Van Regenmortel. “The door opens in only one direction and has a stop, which prevents gaps from forming next to the door, as is the case with a pivot door. Furthermore, no screws or hinges are visible after installation. This greatly enhances the overall aesthetic. Even when the door is open, the wall maintains a visually seamless appearance.” In total, Van Regenmortel installed five Divina partitions in the new office building. Thanks to their modular design and custom fabrication, each partition could be perfectly tailored to the space, with glass swing doors and fixed glass panels that create a modern, elegant look.

An inspiring final result

Since it opened in October 2023, MFI Coatings has received a great deal of positive feedback. “We often get specific questions about the Divina walls,” says Erik Van Hool. “Visitors want to know what product it is and who installed it. This way, we inspire not only our own team, but also our customers and other visitors. I can recommend it to everyone.”
