Getting creative with LED lighting? It's possible! At least it is possible with Klemko Techniek's products. The company produces innovative LED lighting, lighting controls and connection technology. The company is fully engaged in the Lumiko LED strip program and continues to develop and improve this range.
With all the products, Klemko wants the electrical installer to work faster, more efficiently and smarter in an accessible way. Danny Miac, account manager led lighting controls: "Our Lumiko led strip program continues to grow in order to offer the right solution for every client. One of the developments is our new Lumiko COB LED strip. This is a unique product because here the LEDs are so close together that no individual LEDs are visible."
This placement of LED chips has many advantages, according to Miac: "It creates a nice even light pattern, in fact one long light snake. This allows the strip to be used very well in difficult places, such as in a cove. The COB LED strip is very easy and precise to shorten, because the section length is only 41 mm. With other strips, this is often every 10 or 20 cm."
"It is a fantastically beautiful product, thanks to the light image that is created. Several projects are currently underway, for example, the COB LED strips are being used in several large ships."
The LED strip gives the user a lot of creative freedom: "It does not necessarily have to be placed in a profile. This also benefits workability. In a project in Rotterdam, the COB LED strip is used as the main lighting in the portal to highlight the stained glass. For this purpose, it is placed in a shallow corner profile. It's a subtle solution."
Lumiko provides many different LED strips. "Our LED strips not only come in every possible color, but also in RGBW and in 2700, 3000 and 4000 Kelvin."
Some LED strips have 3000 lumens per meter and are therefore suitable as primary lighting. Miac: "With most LED strips, the matching profiles are very important, we therefore have a huge range, surface mounted and recessed, as well as trimless. Fairly unique is the black cover, for a good match with black profiles that we see more and more in interiors."
With the transparent click connectors, the LED strips are very easy to connect. In addition, they are controllable with the well-known wireless Smart Home protocols. "This is where we are in full swing, because this is in high demand. We connect to all the common protocols on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-wave, Casambi and Bluetooth."
Miac emphasizes that Klemko likes to think along with architects. "We offer consulting work in the broadest sense of the word. An aid to this is the Klemko Led Application Center. Here the customer can experience what light does to a room and the state of mind."
The KLAC is divided into two parts with a surface area of 400m²: a showroom with our product lines and the experience center with four common environments: a living room, store, office and catering facility. "Customers are very welcome here, but our account managers are also happy to come on location to give appropriate advice."
