Franck de Munster, general manager of Harinck, is in a jubilant mood. "It was great to showcase our novelties at Polyclose! Our customers were very satisfied and we are now tremendously busy following up on all the leads." At the trade fair, the company's exhibits included its patented cladding, but it was the doors that stole the show.
The company has been a leader in front doors, or entrance doors, as the Flemish company calls them, for more than 40 years. There is a matching door for every home, as the Frager brand offers a range of styles. From classic to timeless, contemporary to modern and groundbreaking. According to Franck, especially the new wood imitation doors are currently in high demand.
"Sleek architecture is very popular, but combined with warm materials, such as natural stone, wood and copper. However, a wooden door has several disadvantages. For example, it is not completely windproof and wood is a natural material that works. This means that architects cannot meet insulation standards. We therefore heard from our customers that they often lost the end customer when it came to the front door. They are therefore very happy with our wood imitation doors. With this we answer a question that has been in the market for a long time, but to which our customers had not yet had an answer."
The first doors with wood decor were shown at Polyclose. "We offer these doors in different styles, there is the classic frame door with trim and a baseboard, as well as a more contemporary door with scrap metal, and a special full-length door pull."
With this collection, Frager meets the demand for an industrial look. "Here people also choose wood anyway, because of the warm and soothing look. We combine this, if people choose this, with black windows in steellook." With Frager's front doors, architects can meet insulation standards anyway, but they can also be equipped with self-closing technology, to monitor the indoor climate even better. "In addition, our customers benefit from the warm appearance of wood and the front doors are maintenance-free. No cracks develop, as is the case with real wood, the doors do not discolor, and staining or varnishing is not necessary."
With the new series of front doors, Frager creates an attractive and warm welcome, according to Franck. "We expect a lot from these products. The wood imitation doors suit sleek Dutchmen, slightly warmer Flemish and designer Italians. The demand for this style continues to grow and, of course, we can extend it to cladding as well."
