Polyester gutters with integrated slope: 'Rainwater drainage and building aesthetics can go together extremely well'

With the current climate changes and the associated increasingly extreme rainfall, it is very important to get our rainwater management in order. A good slope in our gutters is of great importance in this regard, Marc Beers, director of Beers Bouwproducten BV, knows. "Not for nothing, for example, the Technical ABC of Woningborg prescribes a slope of at least 2 millimeters per meter."

"With various gutter systems, such as zinc and drawn aluminum gutters, this slope can be achieved by mounting the suspension brackets in which the gutters will lie on a slope," Beers said. "But unfortunately, this does not enhance the appearance of a building. Especially when the drain is installed at the end of the gutter, a 'skewed gutter' disrupts the facade line considerably. If the drain has to be in the middle of a gutter, it becomes even more difficult. A downward slope would mean that the gutter would have to be kinked and most materials do not lend themselves to this. For these situations Beers Bouwproducten BV has developed a gutter system where the slope is integrated in the gutter itself. This allows customers to benefit from the advantages of a prefabricated, polyester gutter, which also meets all functional and aesthetic requirements regarding the slope."

Voor de productie van de dakgoten maakt het bedrijf gebruik van productiemallen, waarin eerst een kleurlaag (afwerklaag) wordt aangebracht en vervolgens het polyester wordt opgebouwd.

“Hierbij lamineren we PU op afschot tussen de buiten- en binnenlaag, waardoor een onzichtbare sandwichconstructie ontstaat”, aldus Beers. “In totaal zijn veertien standaard gootmodellen leverbaar, in diverse vormen en maatvoeringen. Op aanvraag kunnen bovendien mallen op maat worden gemaakt. Voor de afwerking hebben architecten en aannemerspartijen keuze uit nagenoeg alle RAL-kleuren.”

The polyester gutters of Beers Bouwproducten BV have now been used in various housing projects. Currently, the specialist from Medemblik is involved in the renovation of 100 homes in 's-Gravenzande.
