Who is not familiar with them, the hand controls used to operate the high placed pop-out windows in a school classroom, gymnasium, office or residential building? Or the switch/remote control that causes windows somewhere high above our heads to open electrically, to achieve a natural flow of ventilation? We don't often think about it, but the fact that there is a specialized industry behind these window remote controls is obvious.
Teleflex BV, part of Railtechniek van Herwijnen Groep, advises, supplies and assembles since 1950 an extensive range of mechanical and electrical window remote controls for top-hung, tilt and turn windows, skylights and domes. From (double) chain openers and linear openers to rack openers. "In 2008, we additionally acquired the business of Amerflex BV, expanding our product range to include mechanical and electric window remote controls, monorail systems and sliding door hardware," says Jesse Verheem, Marketing & Sales at Teleflex. "This allows us to offer the perfect solution for every situation."
The window remote controls find eager demand in residential and commercial construction. "We mainly supply the ice cream trade and contractor parties," says Verheem. "If required, we are involved in projects from the consulting phase. Based on the type of window, dimensions, weight and user requirements, we select the most suitable products for each project, obviously taking into account the applicable requirements as well as the appearance of the building. We are also happy to take care of the installation of the systems, assuring customers of 2 years of free service and maintenance."
Popular at the moment is the C20 electric chain opener, which stands out not only for its competitive pricing, but also for its very compact size. The chain opener is available in black, white and gray and also available in a tandem version.
"Also popular is the ACK4 electric chain opener, which allows windows to be opened at various positions: from 10 to 40 cm and in stages of 5 cm. The smallest electric chain opener in our range is the Nano, which combines high loads (400N) with silent operation."
If desired, various sensors can be linked to the window remotes, such as a rain and wind sensor. In addition, operation via smartphone or tablet will soon be possible. In addition, Teleflex will soon be launching a Dutch-language product catalog in which, in addition to its own brand products, supplier products are also clearly displayed.
