With Knauf MaxSpace, it's smart and sustainable building. This innovative, slim wall system significantly optimizes the usable area (GFA) of buildings. Compared to a traditional residential partition wall 205 mm thick, Knauf MaxSpace delivers a space gain of 8 cm. For 100 units with a wall length of 5 meters, this means an additional 40 m² of usable space.
The Knauf MaxSpace system is constructed from a standard CW-50 profile, fitted with bio-based coir felt on both sides and an additional steel flange. Plasterboards are then attached to this. The coir felt has an important role in sound insulation. The coir felt provides acoustic decoupling, preventing sound from being transmitted directly through the wall posts. The total wall thickness is only 125 mm.
Knauf MaxSpace is also a sustainable choice. Not only does it use biobased material, but it also uses less material. In fact, three linear meters less steel is used per square meter and one square meter less glass wool.
The benefits
