ClickBrick Pure: a circular facade with a traditional look

ClickBrick Pure: a circular facade with a traditional look

This is thanks to Wienerberger's ClickBrick Pure, introduced last spring; the first fully circular facade system based on handform facing bricks. This new brick has a grained, characterful texture that typifies hand-formed facing bricks. Working with a false joint creates an optical shadow effect that comes very close to the desired aesthetic of traditional masonry.

Seven grades

With ClickBrick Pure, Wienerberger makes it possible for clients, architects and construction companies to realize in practice circular homes with a traditional facade appearance. This is done under the telling motto "innovation in tradition. Thanks to modern technology, it is now possible to create a facade with a familiar, traditional appearance. ClickBrick Pure is available in seven grades, from dark anthracite, through brown and purple to brick red and a light sand color. The long-established, austere strand-press variant is also available in seven grades and will from now on go by the name ClickBrick Cube.

New service concept

Both ClickBrick variants are supplied according to the new service concept Brick as a Service. This concept provides additional advice, comprehensive services and upfront certainty in return and residual value. "With this we underline our circular objectives," says Stef van Ham, Product Manager Facade at Wienerberger. "The return guarantee with residual value gives building owners the guarantee that our ClickBrick fits into the circular economy we are moving towards and that the bricks and accessories will retain their quality."

Complete system

Like the sleek ClickBrick Cube variant, ClickBrick Pure is supplied as a complete system. So including the necessary stainless steel connecting clips, anchoring clips and anchors to achieve a strong and reliable facade. In addition to the regular facing bricks, special corner bricks have also been developed. These can be provided with a mock joint at the end and have an additional saw cut to make the connection at the corner with the adjacent brick. The corner stones are also used at window and door openings, providing a nice finish. In addition, a matching lintel brick is available for above gable openings. With an additional cutout at the bottom or top of the stone, the lintel can be processed according to the guidelines and kept nicely out of sight.

Sustainable and circular construction

With the arrival of the ClickBrick Pure, Wienerberger is giving further substance to its far-reaching ambitions to build a sustainable, circular future. The basic raw material for the ClickBrick ceramic facing bricks is sustainably extracted Dutch river clay, a renewable raw material, infinitely and locally available. The ClickBrick system also reduces the use of building materials, is characterized by optimal recycling and results in maintenance-free facades.

Van Ham: "What we as Wienerberger am-bieved is to create the best possible conditions to achieve a beautiful, traditional-looking facade with dry stacking that still fits into the concept of circular construction and design. That has certainly been achieved with ClickBrick Pure!"
