Cosentino launches EARTHIC® by Silestone®XM in partnership with Formafantasma

Cosentino, a world leader in the production of sustainable materials for architecture and design, launches EARTHIC® by Silestone®XM, which merges unconventional and recycled materials and creates a sustainable concept that sets a new benchmark for the industry. EARTHIC®, developed in collaboration with iconic Italian studio Formafantasma, reinforces Cosentino's long-term commitment to becoming a more sustainable company and continues to pave a path to tangibly minimize the impact of their products in the future.

EARTHIC® by Silestone®XM was introduced in April 2024 in Milan. Silestone®XM represents the next generation of mineral hybriq surfaces and distinguishes colors and collections marketed by a maximum crystalline silica content of 10%. Thanks to Cosentino's Hybriq+® technology, this collection is also produced with 100% renewable electrical energy and 99% recycled water.

EARTHIC® is a capsule collection with a new concept design, with an advanced composition of up to 30% recycled materials, including: recycled glass, PET, bio-resin and Dekton® fragments. With EARTHIC®, Cosentino and Formafantasma propose a new and more sustainable approach. For example, by using recycled Dekton® fragments, which avoids the extraction of new raw materials. Moreover, the production uses post-consumer bio-resin (between 16% and 23%) derived from vegetable oil and recycled cooking oil, as well as plastic bottles, which are converted into distinctive particles that reveal their unique characteristics on the surface.

EARTHIC® is divided into two color series:

EARTHIC / FFROM X FORMAFANTASMA
Three color series that reflect the origin and provenance of the material, as well as the process of transforming recycled materials into something new.
FFROM 01: A gray surface speckled with white recycled PET fragments, creating a subtle but intricate pattern that draws attention and adds depth to the composition.

FFROM 02: A darker shade of gray, elegantly punctuated by white accents, creating a visually appealing contrast. A shade of gray with a sense of modernity and minimalism.

FFROM 03: An enchanting yet elegant and anthracite-colored background with recycled PET pieces scattered on its surface resembles the night sky or a geological specimen.

EARTHIC/ RAW X COSENTINO STUDIO
Patterns and colors that capture the material essence in its most authentic state, combined with forms that express a new aesthetic.

RAW A: A color with a soft dark veined pattern on a white background that reveals a complex design that evokes a sense of natural elegance, reminiscent of refined stones from nature.

RAW G: A serene and natural concrete canvas with subtle copper accents interwoven with faint veins that add a sense of fluidity.

RAW D: A dark natural rocky background creates an atmosphere of tranquility and solid elegance. Scattered bronze stripes run through a charcoal landscape.
