Wireless to all apartments: who rings the bell?

Unique door intercom with great ease of use

For 30 years, Fasttel has specialized in the development of design intercom systems with or without camera, which can be integrated into the customer's telephone network. The latest product, the Wizard App@rtment, is a unique very complete solution for apartment buildings.

"Design, technology and ease of use is in our DNA," says Pieter van Opbergen, DGA of Fasttel Netherlands. "We develop and produce all our products ourselves, and also offer local support to our customers. Our systems can be connected not only to the existing (cordless) telephones, but also to our own video indoor stations and to the smartphone. For the connection to the apartments we do not need a cable but connect via the resident's internet. Wired or via WiFi."

Outpost with direct internet connection

Fasttel's products make it possible to talk to the person at the door anywhere in the world, and possibly also to open the door. This is possible, but not necessary with an indoor unit. The latest development of the company, with offices in Lokeren and Moergestel, is the Wizard Ap@rtment. This is an outdoor unit the size of half an A4, which can be used in smaller or larger complexes, up to 999 apartments. The outdoor unit connects directly to the building's Internet connection. Without further internal wiring, the indoor units are also connected to it. Residents can use an app on their mobile device or PC.

Van Opbergen. "In most buildings, door entry systems are used by one or a few users. However, the challenge arises with more users. Systems with large numbers of addressed push buttons must always be wired to the internal stations of - in this case - the occupants." 

Thanks to the Fasttel Wizard App@rtment, this is no longer necessary. This is because this is a full-IP door intercom system with or without a camera, which can also be used by a large number of residents and can be operated intuitively.

Operable & accessible anywhere in the world

The Wizard App@rtment is available in two versions namely for up to 20 apartments or anything above. The Wizard App@rtment FT2520 uses a clear display with alphabetical scrolling function, while the Wizard App@rtment FT2599 has a choice of entering the first letters of a name or direct apartment selection.

"The residents can be reached at an indoor station with or without video, or on their smartphone with the fasttel app. The latter allows them to talk to the visitor and also open the door, wherever they are in the world. Up to 10 devices can be linked per apartment. With a second camera inside, the visitor or delivery person can be closely followed in his doings. For this, the Wizard app@rtment only needs an Internet connection and nothing else. The indoor stations VISITOR! or FT600W are connected to the building network or even easier, to the resident's own internet connection." 

For new construction, Fasttel has created special packages, from the simplest implementation to the most advanced fulfillment.

As with all Fasttel door intercom systems, the Wizard App@rtment has a standard built-in SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) server to enable reliable multimedia communication. The door intercom is optionally available in aluminum (gray) or black anodized.
