In the world of intercom systems and access control, it is crucial to keep innovating. Thanks in part to customized solutions, PortaDial knows how to keep up with customers' needs. Whether it's functionality or Dutch Design, the company's products are all Made in Holland.
The future of intercom systems and access control is digital, says general manager Rob Dinnessen. "Our intercom
systems can be connected to any hosted platform and any type of PBX, whether SIP/IP or analog. We differentiate ourselves from our competitors because we are not limited to off-the-shelf solutions. In addition to standard series, we can offer custom solutions to meet the unique needs of our customers. We develop and produce in-house and can move quickly when our customers have specific requirements. It may be that the product needs to look different, but also that something in the software needs to be adjusted. Because of our Dutch production, this is also affordable. If it takes an hour, then
us an hour."
PortaDial offers a range of products that range from voice intercoms to advanced video intercom systems. While audio intercoms are still popular, the demand for video intercom systems has grown steadily. "We have paid great attention to the development of the video component of our products, with a focus on image quality and viewing angles. Our cameras guarantee sharp images with good visibility. Furthermore, the beauty of our products is their universal accessibility. A call can be received on a landline phone, mobile or PC. Our PortaDial Interface Series consists of a door phone with separate, web-based interface, this allows distances of hundreds of meters between the door phone(s) and the interface, regardless of the type of cabling."
All PortaDial intercom systems are rugged, molest-resistant and easy to install. The appearance of the door phones ranges from industrial and rugged to elegant and chic. "In access control of fences and the like, appearance is often less important. In apartments and villas, however, design and appearance do have a high priority. We therefore offer true Dutch Design, using materials such as acrylic and stainless steel. These are products that can be seamlessly integrated into modern architecture."
One of the newest additions to PortaDial's range is the PortaDial Elego. According to the company, this door phone is a textbook example of Dutch Design, where customers can choose from a variety of colors. Users can see who is at their door via their smartphone or tablet. Thanks to infrared, this also works very well in the evening and at night. Elego has an integrated interface and can be supplied with a camera, keypad, RFID card reader and/or stainless steel surface-mounted edge.
Not all locations have a telephone line. For these places, the PortaDial LTE is suitable. This all-in-one door phone offers seamless connectivity over cellular networks, and is used at remote gas stations, parking lots, remote gateways, as well as in the Department of Defense. The PortaDial LTE is easy to install, splash-proof and vandal-resistant. "In situations where things are not possible or allowed, we think with you about a solution. We like to engage with architects so that access control can be included in the specifications."
