Preview PlusPoint Riverevent
Anyone organizing a trade show is often looking for an original venue and décor. PlusPoint Marketing hits the nail on the head. For the second time, the luxurious ship Blue Rhapsody is the setting for PlusPoint Riverevent, the traveling event that visits as many strategic locations over three days. With renowned brands, high-quality catering and a convivial atmosphere on board.
Plus Point Marketing has been bringing major manufacturers in the construction industry to architects, interior designers and developers for nearly forty years. Precisely those clients were asking for a targeted event. Raymond Scheepers, founder of Plus Point Marketing: "The concrete question came five years back, shortly before Covid. 'Raymond, can't you organize something for the architects?' The existing offer was somewhat lacking for our clients. The location was not ideal and there were too many exhibitors. Especially with those points in mind, the PlusPoint Riverevent took shape."
To save architects and specifiers a long car ride and the frustration of traffic jams, PlusPoint Riverevent continues on the extraordinary ship Blue Rhapsody. The traveling exhibition will dock in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Utrecht. Thus, every interested architect and interior designer will find their way smoothly during one of the three exhibition days. The ship then sails on to Germany. One week before, the PlusPoint Riverevent also calls at three strategic locations in Belgium. With its length of 85 meters, width of 11.50 meters and four floors, Blue Rhapsody offers all the space needed for a successful event. On two floors, 75 leading manufacturers will store their booths.
"This allows us to visit all booths in detail and speak with the producers in a few hours. Moreover, we provide high-quality catering and beverages throughout the event, as befits the beautiful setting. At the end of 2019, our ship received the BEA World Award. That means it was then the most beautiful event location in the world," said Raymond.
The special concept of PlusPoint River-
event was already enjoyed during the previous edition, according to the positive feedback from both exhibitors and visitors. "Especially the quality of the visitors makes us very satisfied, first and foremost as an asset for our clients," Raymond emphasizes. "We receive many senior and project architects on the floor, including from the large firms. Trainees from these architecture firms - the leading architects of tomorrow - are also welcome, but then again, students do not attend the event. For the exhibitors, that means leads are valuable." The sublime catering and the strategic choice of venues where the density of architects and specifiers is high were also cited as primary benefits of PlusPoint Riverevent. Exactly those factors that PlusPoint Marketing wants to make a difference with. Mission accomplished, in other words.
PlusPoint Riverevent stops in Rotterdam (Hotel New York) on Sept. 12, in Amsterdam (Hotel Mövenpick - Passenger Terminal) on Sept. 13 and in Utrecht (Kernkade) on Sept. 14. The doors will be open from 12 to 8 p.m. each time. The ship will remain docked during these hours.

Sailing on biofuel
Using HVO100 to fuel city-to-city trips, PlusPoint Riverevent is decisively pulling the sustainability card. "It's an extra investment for us, but we're happy to do it," says Raymond Scheepers. "While sailing, we emit so much less fine dust and up to 90 percent less CO2. This makes our event on a ship not only special, but also sustainable."
