Eternit evolves and revamps brand structure

The originally Belgian company Eternit is evolving and taking an important step in its long history. From now on, under the new company name Etex, this leading manufacturer of building materials will inspire the construction industry worldwide as one strong company even more with innovative solutions. Completely in line with the slogan "Inspiring ways of living". The Eternit name will continue to exist as one of the three commercial brands offered by the group.

Local expertise, global impact

Etex consists of several divisions. Etex Exteriors, the division responsible for all exterior solutions in fiber cement, combines the strengths of its teams in all the countries where it operates. In this way, the building materials manufacturer aims to create an even greater global impact from its great local expertise.

Three commercial brands

To better align its product and service offerings with the needs of clients in the construction industry, Etex redesigned its brand structure. From now on, Etex Exteriors has a clear and unified offering of three commercial brands:

- Cedral slates and sidings

With Cedral, Etex presents a single brand for slates and cladding strips made from fiber cement for residential construction. It offers installers, roofers and individuals a complete range to finish the entire exterior of the house.

- EQUITONE facade panels

Architectural facade panels in fiber cement remain available under the name EQUITONE. Architects will find an extensive range that inspires them to create sustainable and authentic façade designs.

- Eternit corrugated sheets

The brand name Eternit is now only used for corrugated sheets in fiber cement, mainly for agricultural applications. With this, the brand is going back to its roots and wants to inspire "the agriculture of the future" with innovative roofing concepts.

Service remains guaranteed

While all communications (website, promotional materials,...) to roofers, installers, architects and dealers will be updated over the next few months, Etex stresses that the quality of service will not change. All contacts for internal and external services will remain the same. This ensures continuity.
