"Often insulation is still offered as a standard product, in a standard size and with a standard finish," knows product specialist Denes Elsjan. "As a result, a lot of post-processing still has to be done on the building site. This not only costs time and energy, but also generates a lot of logistical movements and waste. With our kombi panels, we offer a sustainable and effective alternative for this: smart, fast and with excellent thermal and acoustic insulation values."
"With our composite panels, we contribute to a more efficient and sustainable construction process," Elsjan emphasizes. "We are ISO 14001-certified and very expert when it comes to bonding and laminating materials to insulation. This allows us to deliver solutions where the finishing automatically becomes part of the insulation: finishing and insulation with one panel, in other words!"
In addition to acoustically insulating cannelure fillings for steel roof panels, Dewin Insulation offers an extensive range of thermally and acoustically insulating combi panels for ceiling and wall applications. The composite panels are mainly supplied on behalf of nationwide building materials wholesalers and contractors. "The solutions are suitable for both new construction and renovation," Elsjan said. "Popular are our wood wool cement panels in combination with PIR and EPS insulation. We also supply panels with rock wool, which also ensures optimal fire resistance."
The panels are commonly used in parking garages, where large spans are desired and insulated concrete is not an option. "Our thermal products provide the right insulation values here, while the wood-wool cement panels provide the aesthetic finish," Elsjan said.
As standard, the panels are supplied in a natural color or painted white. "On request, other colors are also possible. For example, we supplied more than 10,000 m² of black sprayed kombi panels for the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, which is known as one of the best acoustic buildings in the Netherlands. We are also currently involved in the new construction of the Radboudumc in Nijmegen, where, thanks to our kombi panels, cold from the parking garage cannot penetrate into the hospital and the parking garage does not become a sound box."
For the Market Hall in Rotterdam, Dewin Insulation supplied stone wool panels in an acoustically open foil, which also prevents the building from acting as a sound box.
Dewin Insulation works with Dutch and European materials, keeping transport movements to a minimum. In addition, the wood-wool cement panels can be supplied under FSC or PEFC labels. "We are currently exploring options for insulation based on recycled cotton. This will further reduce our footprint and optimally fulfill our ambition: to realize as many beautiful, challenging and sustainable projects as possible."
