Green walls contribute to a healthy living and working environment

Hanging greenery, vertical gardens, green workplaces and green walls. There has been a lot of appreciation for indoor greenery in recent years. Especially now where people are increasingly aware of the importance of healthy living.

There is also an increase in greenery within companies and institutions, including the development of the green wall. The Royal Ginkel Group (a family business founded in 1903) has extensive expertise in the field of greenery and certainly the green walls that contribute to a better living and working climate thanks to their air-purifying effect and proper humidity. "Green walls increase labor productivity," says interior planting specialist Bart Dijkman. He, too, notices that more and more organizations are starting to recognize the importance of greenery in the building. "Green has a positive effect on people's health and well-being. It is not a luxury product, but a basic need.

Scientific research shows that a green work environment reduces stress and increases concentration but in addition, it also has aesthetic benefits because after all, every person loves green!

According to Dijkman, there is a thorough plan behind the development of a green wall, for example. "It's more than just placing some plants. A green wall consists of elements such as hanging rails, pre-cultivated panels, edging strips and gutters. Water and fertilizers are added through drip lines plus associated irrigation system."

Maintenance of green interior walls is specialized work in which the Royal Ginkel Group has knowledge and experience. "It involves a complete process of technical engineering and design, planting plan, pre-cultivation, assembly, delivery and maintenance. In short, unburdening on all disciplines."
