Doors with slim glass slats for a sleek design

Berkvens will provide its Berkopal HPL doors with Slim Frame® glazing bars starting June 1, 2020. This slim glass lath Replaces the familiar, thick-faced glass lath. Slim Frame® glazing bars are available in two variants: Colour and Wood and, due to their smaller size, provide a sleeker design. 

Glass in doors, in addition to more light, often means prominent glass slats. Berkvens Deursystemen therefore provides its doors with a slim glass lath construction under the name Slim Frame.®.

Colour and Wood

Slim Frame® comes in two variants: Colour and Wood. Slim Frame® Colour glazing bars are made of polyurethane, dyed throughout. This material is attractive, aesthetic, colorfast (UV-resistant) and maintenance-free. The screws in the glass slats are in the same color as the glass slat. The Slim Frame® Wood are glazing bars in transparent varnished redwood.

Dry glazing system

The slim glass slats are supplied in combination with fitted glass in a dry glazing system. Thanks to the application of glazing rubber, the glass slats are easy to disassemble in case of window breakage. Easy disassembly also makes the Slim Frame® glazing bar ideal for circular construction.

Also for fire, sound and burglar-resistant doors

Slim Frame® is available for standard Berkvens doors and for fire, sound and burglar-resistant doors. In the latter case the glass opening is fitted with a glass frame to ensure correct fitting. It goes without saying that Berkvens meets all the requirements of the Buildings Decree with the Slim Frame® glazing bars.
