Inspiring and culinary opening of asparagus season
On Friday, April 14, Nidum and restaurant Ovum will open the asparagus season in a unique way. On this evening a special collaboration will take place with the ambassador of asparagus: chef René Brienen (Brienen aan de Maas*).
Asperge de Bienvenue is an exclusive event dedicated to enjoyment and meeting people. The evening starts with an inspiring and culinary tour through Nidum, the house of inspiration. While enjoying culinary amuses one experiences the experience of the inspiration center and is introduced to the various shops and showrooms.
After this introduction with Nidum, the asparagus menu will be served at Ovum restaurant. The four-course dinner was created by Ovum's chef Sebastiaan Follong and special guest René Brienen. The star of this menu is the asparagus. While enjoying the white gold, the evening will be complemented by various entertainment, including live music and a presentation by Micky Hoogendijk. The artist is exhibiting various works at Nidum, including her photographic art and bronze sculptures.
The location of Asperge de Bienvenue is the monumental Arsenal, where the inspiration center Nidum has opened since the end of 2021. This special location brings together various partners in the fields of design, lifestyle, interior design and art.
The indoor restaurant Ovum has been open since August 2021 and is under the direction of Sebastiaan Follong (winner NK Jonge Koks 2020). Ovum has already received a mention in the Lekker500 twice since its opening and has also been in the Gault & Millau culinary list with 14 points since 2022.
