A system with a unit where the dirt ends up in one central location plus several dust contacts to which the vacuum hose is connected. Simple, but with many advantages.
Specialist in central vacuuming is Pike central vacuum equipment. A company that started importing vacuum systems from America 50 years ago. In the course of time they decided to develop these systems themselves. The complete production of both this system and the various components is done in their own factory. Based on the drawing of the home or property, Snoek offers a plan plus custom quote.
"Many individuals choose to place the central unit where the dirt collects in the basement, garage or attic," Rhemon Vos starts his explanation. "Various connection points, called dust contacts, are then installed in the house or business according to the customer's wishes. This varies from four or five to sometimes as many as twenty points. The hose is easily connected to the dust contacts. Through a specially constructed invisible pipe system, all dust and dirt disappears into the bag processed in the central unit. In a regular household, it only needs to be emptied once or twice a year. In a business, it will have to be done a little more often."
Those who choose central vacuuming will soon experience the many advantages. No more dragging a machine around or bothering with the cord, but also no more nuisance from the usual noise, blowing out fine dust and also no more foul odors. In short: cleaner, more efficient and above all healthier. The use of the vacuum hose is sufficient. "Noise is limited to the room where the central unit is stored," says Rhemon. "Maintenance is hardly necessary. Except in places where the system is used intensively, such as hotels or hospitals, we can visit once or twice a year if required. It is advisable to replace the brushes with some regularity."
This central vacuum system is easy to include in the construction of new homes, but is just as easy to integrate into an existing house or building, according to Rhemon. "More and more architects are including this system in their plans. We advise and produce. The installer then takes care of the installation. We work throughout the Netherlands, but in the recent past we have also received orders from Belgium, Germany or other countries in Europe. Central vacuuming has never been a hype, but more and more people are experiencing the benefits and don't want to live without it. We see a growth in sales in recent years."
