For more than 40 years, Harinck has specialized in durable, safe and high-quality front, entrance and exterior doors. The company offers to the manufacturer of plastic and aluminum windows a complete range of Frager doors, including fully glazed doors, in addition several special innovations are in the pipeline.
"The demand for translucent doors is high," says general manager Franck De Munster. "Especially at a time when many renovations are taking place." A glass door is also sometimes necessary because of light penetration. Frager therefore ensures that every (new) model is available as a closed model as well as a glazed variant. "Whether it is the new modern Bauhaus series, or traditional models, they are also executed with glass infills."
Frager's Decover glass doors offer optimal security (glass 44.6 laminated) and thermal insulation (Up= 1.0 to 1.1 W/m2K). De Munster: "Our glass entrance doors have double or triple glazing. On these, we can apply a custom and customized drawing by sandblasting. A house number for example, a name or a symbol."
Sandblasting makes part of the door opaque, creating a contrast with the image. "The customer can choose to sandblast the door completely and leave the image clear, or the exact opposite, depending on the need for privacy."
For doors with triple glazing, a 3D effect can be created. "Then two of the three glass panels are sandblasted, by applying a slightly different drawing on each layer the three-dimensional effect is created." A classic door closer is not possible with glass doors. That is why Frager designed a vertical door closer that is fitted to the door leaf in a solid aluminum bar.
In January, Frager will again be at trade fair Polyclose in Ghent. "Then we will show our complete collection and our Magnetude magnet system again. We will also show two special new doors then." De Munster outlines a familiar scenario. "If you walk in a city, you see behind a door or window belongings of the inhabitants. So you get an idea of the person who lives there. We are now working on a door that allows the end customer to show who he is." The new "virtine" door has a large translucent bar that comes out 25cm from the door; it is, in effect, a glass display case ín a door. On the inside is an opening window. This allows the occupant to possibly see who is in front of the door, but the glass display case can mainly exhibit whatever the customer wants. "It's a full plastic window, and lighting is built in," he says.
The second new model responds to the popularity of green facades and is called Florager. "With this we want to contribute to this green trend. The door fits both plastic and aluminum joinery and has built-in trays made of Corten steel. Lighting or planting will be placed in these. The door handle is a welded rebar that both guides the plants and allows one to open the door. The whole has an industrial look. Be sure to come discover the new models at Polyclose, booth 1538 Frager."
