Acoustic solution for finer environment

Acoustic solution for finer environment

More and more hard materials are being used, increasing reverberation and loud noises. Asona Benelux provides solutions for this that greatly improve the sound environment.

We are all spending much more time in our own homes. As a result, according to account manager Martin Dutour Geerling, you notice how disruptive poor acoustics are. "You don't understand each other well and so you start talking louder and louder. This is very disruptive and can be a problem anywhere at home, school or the office."

Martin notices that architects and contractors are still too little concerned with acoustics. "Often such a problem only becomes apparent afterwards. That is extra annoying because it is then less easy to improve acoustics. It can be done, but it is much better if we get involved earlier in the construction. Then it is possible to eliminate lighting and a beautiful whole is created."

To improve acoustics, Asona Benelux offers two options. The first is Sonaspray, a 1-layer flake spray. "These flakes consist of cellulose, extracted from recycled paper. It is a soft material, which can be used to treat a large surface area and, thanks to borax, it is fire retardant." According to Martin, this solution is great for achieving an industrial look. "More and more often the suspended ceiling goes out, which looks much more spacious. You can then use Sonaspray and deliberately show the installations."

The second acoustic solution is Sonacoustic, a multilayer finish suitable for any substrate. Sonacoustic consists of a layer of Sonaboard, high-density coated mineral wool board in 20, 30 or 40 mm. This is followed by a Sonaplaster Base acoustic spray coating and Sonaplaster Finish acoustic spray coating. "This creates a sleek and modern result, in which we can solidly conceal lighting and other items."

Martin: "Acoustics should just be in the specifications. That's different from sound insulation. We measure that in seconds and not decibels."

Asona Benelux applies its products in many different places, such as town halls, villas and schools. "Schools are increasingly realizing how important acoustics are and are raving about our solutions."
