Any custom product. Steel stairs and elevator interiors

Director Sjef Wauben is not only the person who manages Wauben Productie BV. He also collaborates himself, helping with product design and calculations. "Customers often confirm that we are good at out-of-the-box thinking. As a result, a product often ends up being better than the customer himself had in mind. All the products we manufacture are custom-made. Here, good interaction with the customer is the most important thing in order to ultimately achieve a perfect end product together."

A staircase for any environment

Stairs are a very broad product group, according to Wauben. "From escape stairs, to a staircase for the entrance of large or special buildings, from simple to luxurious stairs with glass steps; we make them all. We don't supply standard stairs, it's really custom work. The client has an influence on every detail. This freedom is what sets us apart." For the company Glass Inside, the company made unusual glass stairs. "For example, we made a spiral staircase that seems to float."

Fast and flexible

Frank van Vliet is a project manager and work planner responsible for elevator interiors. When Wauben Productie BV took over the estate and some employees of the company Uni-lift, Van Vliet joined the company. He still works under the familiar trade name Top-liftinterior. "We take care of all aesthetic work on the elevator, both ín the elevator and on the outside. This is where we distinguish ourselves from our competitors by being flexible in terms of delivery times. We can often switch faster and have more space in the agenda, because we are not solely dependent on this industry. This often allows us to deliver cage cladding within a week." The company does not supply a standard package. "We always deliver our products customized and offer a wide range of options."

Wauben recently furnished a special elevator cage in Amsterdam. Van Vliet: "This car was covered with special stainless steel plate in a champagne color. In addition, the elevator was completely customized. With dark wood and herringbone PVC on the floor. We also take care of the outside of the elevator, for example the sheet metal and the wall headings. Everything the layman can see on an elevator installation we can supply or refurbish." Wauben is currently working for Schindler Liften on residential towers in The Hague and Amsterdam, among other projects.
