At the beginning of this year, Siedle introduced several innovations. For these innovations and improvements, the specialist in building communication technology listened to its installers. Director Wim Brusselaers: "We can supply our PVD-coated front panels faster and in larger sizes. In addition, the Siedle Vario door station has been completely redesigned."
Previously, front plates for door stations Steel and Classic were first cut from stainless steel and then coated with PVD. Now a stainless steel front plate coated is purchased and the front plate is cut from it. "This allows us to deliver faster, also there is no longer a limitation on the size of the front panels. So we can also realize very large surfaces for large residential installations." PVD coatings are available from Siedle in three colors: copper, brass and black in brushed or polished versions. They are available for front panels of door stations from the design lines Siedle Classic
and Siedle Steel.
"At Light + Building, we introduced an improved version of our classic; Siedle Vario," says Brusselaers. "We used feedback from our installers to refine the door station." For example, Siedle Vario is now even easier to operate, the call buttons allow themselves to be pressed almost completely and the nameplate and call button are clearly arranged. New, warmer, lighting ensures good legibility. The pressure point of the buttons can be clearly felt and a new acknowledgement tone confirms the door call. "This was really a wish of our customers, but this function can also be switched off," said Dr. K. K., who is a member of the team. Installation is now easier and cheaper by using a single flat ribbon cable. Screwing or clamping is no longer necessary.
In the Access camera door loudspeaker for Siedle Vario, the Black Forest manufacturer is combining two functions in a single module for the first time: audio and video. "This reduces mounting effort and therefore costs, especially in medium and large projects. Unlike many other products on the market, the loudspeaker is fully suitable for outdoor use and is therefore very reliable and durable." The appearance of the new version is more modern thanks to straighter and finer slats, which protect against rain and moisture like a canopy.
The modular principle of Siedle Vario remains unchanged. An accessory allows customers to connect the new modules to an older Vario type. In addition, the door station still comes in the colors white, silver metallic, anthracite and shimmering dark gray; but also custom-made in any RAL color.
The award-winning Axiom video panel is now also available for the In-Home Bus. The panel is installed without a separate Smart Gateway and the price remains the same. "The installation is easier because a Smart Gateway is no longer needed. This saves costs."
The touchscreen user interface was redeveloped and is now easier to operate. Two classic buttons are present for the most important functions: voice and door opener. The generous 7-inch (diagonal) touchscreen ensures that function tiles are clear and visible. According to Brusselaers, the new user interface makes the Siedle Axiom intuitive to operate. "For example, users can choose to automatically display the video images in full screen when a door call is made. On the screen, favorite functions can be arranged as desired, such as a function for switching on an outdoor light." Siedle Axiom In-Home is characterized by clean lines, striking angles and a slim frame. The video panel is available in three colors, and it can also be placed on a table with a console accessory.
