Don't just say "stone" to natural stone. It's a no-holds-barred message unanimously heard at MCR Stein, Germany. "Nature takes millions of years to form natural stone," it sounds. "An individual surface pattern, characteristic properties and the variety of colors are the result. And that's why it deserves our utmost respect."
In the south of the German state of Thuringia, right on the border with the state of Bavaria, lies the small town of Römhild. That is where the approximately 80 employees of MCR Stein passionately set to work every day. "Whether it's a bathroom, a wellness area, (part of) a living room or a complete living kitchen, the interior design is always with natural stone," they sound proudly. "It is also always made by hand. After all, craftsmen have golden hands and create unique living spaces. And that's how a house becomes a real home!"
Proof that natural stone can be used very creatively is provided by MCR Stein with the design line n'Stee. In 2019 it saw the light of day and in 2020, just at the outbreak of the corona pandemic, Granat was presented. "Granat takes the modular concept to a completely new dimension," said the manufacturer. "For the first time, we showed a modular kitchen, consisting of three modules, completely clad in solid natural stone. A tall cabinet, floating on metal legs, containing refrigerator and oven, is flanked by two modules. The first module is the water module that contains the integrated sink, fully mitred with a slope. The other module contains the hob and worktop and is therefore also called the cooking block. A nice nod to fire as a supporting natural element cannot be missing here, hence the combination of the earthy gray of Passeier Gneis with red quartzite. Each design within n'Stee is truly made up entirely to the customer's specifications."
"With Iron Line, we go one step further in terms of individuality and customization," said MCR Stein. "The customer wanted an eye-catcher of note. The presentation of kitchen unit including dining area, all made of natural stone, was high on the wish list. We went on stone scouting for them, a trip of several weeks that took us all over the world, looking for exactly the stone that completely met our customer's wishes. A truly unique service we offer our clients. The result is a kitchen block that impresses with its overall length of 4.20 meters and the many details on display. All the highlights possible can be found in this Iron Line. The Iron Blue used with its deep blue lines nicely complements the rest of the kitchen block made of elm. Our client placed Iron Line in the window and we hear from them that many passersby stop to admire this arrangement."
