Millio by Antonio Bullo: innovative material offers new design possibilities

Can the toilet be a design object without sacrificing functionality and hygiene?

Duravit explored this question together with Italian industrial designer Antonio Bullo. The result of the collaboration is a toilet whose hygienic ceramic interior is connected to an individually designed outer casing made of DuroCast Smooth.

"I designed Millio to give new meaning to objects that have been reduced to their essence," explains Antonio Bullo, explaining the basic idea of the toilet. The design includes three surface textures available in different colors. "Millio goes beyond pure functionality by eliminating the separation that currently exists between plumbing and the bathroom. Millio is fully integrated into the aesthetics of the bathroom," says the designer, describing his creation.

The best of both worlds: Ceramic and Durocast Smooth

The toilet consists of two parts that fit together perfectly: a ceramic interior and a shell made of solid material that is pleasantly soft to the touch. The unique combination of materials offers the best of both worlds: maximum design diversity thanks to the customizable exterior and maximum hygiene through the use of ceramic for the inside of the toilet.
