From niche to island: endless substructure possibilities

At German refrigeration specialist

German manufacturer Liebherr lives up to its reputation as a refrigeration specialist. The brand comes with an extensive undercounter range in two niche sizes that allow the refrigerators, freezers and also wine cabinets to integrate perfectly under any worktop.

A wide range of products, that was already available from Liebherr. But now the German manufacturer is adding to it. Bart Kraan of Liebherr: "Many clever and flexible interior solutions make all our appliances true space wonders. A wide range of models and versions and that in both refrigerators, freezers and wine climate cabinets, is ready. Two niche sizes, because in addition to the well-known 82-88 we now come with the niche size 86-92. Every customer is now sure to find the appliance he or she is looking for."

Bart: "It's obviously incredibly nice to be able to integrate each appliance beautifully and conveniently into the kitchen. But equally important are the cooling performance of our range and the handy tools to work with it every day. For example, pressing buttons is a thing of the past and operation is done via the Touch & Swipe display. Very simple and intuitive. All functions can be selected by tapping and swiping. In the refrigerators, the well-known technologies EasyFresh and BioFresh are of course available, and half-door compartments can be used for safe and easy placement of bottles, glasses and packs. The refrigerators, freezers and also wine climate cabinets are coordinated to such an extent that a convenient side-by-side configuration of the three appliances is perfectly possible."

Perfect wine climate under the worktop

The best climate for all types of wine, that's what Liebherr tackles. After all, every wine lover knows that the conditions for "lying down" must be optimal. Temperature, humidity, vibration, all factors that can affect a wine. "Easy to install, maximum interior flexibility and maximum bottle capacity," Bart lists a few features. "One or two temperature zones according to the user's taste and collection. Niche sizes 82-86 and 86-92 are optionally available. A handy feature, for example, is the TipOpen, ideal for a handle-less kitchen. A light touch is enough to open the door a few centimeters. If the door does not open fully after three seconds, the SoftSystem closes the door again. This technology is available on both GlassBlack models and those for furniture panel mounting."

Nicely matched

With the new niche size, the wine climate cabinets also come with a new door size of 77.7 cm. "This fits perfectly with the 78 cm furniture fronts," said Bart. "Thanks to this door size, a fitting piece is also no longer needed to nicely align the front with the furniture panels. The end result is more beautiful as well as easier and faster to assemble than if a fitting piece were required."
