Where design and ease of use come together

The last two editions of the Küchenmeile were crowded at the Novy booth in AREA30. Visitors wanted to see for themselves what seemed impossible: cooking without a visible hob. The Novy Undercover, developed in cooperation with Cosentino, makes this a reality. The induction technology is completely hidden under a Dekton worktop, so cooking is literally done on the worktop.

The result is stunning: a completely flat kitchen, where technology disappears into the material. The worktop remains one sleek unit, with no visible zones or knobs - only subtle markings and sophisticated LED indicators reveal where the technology is hidden. “With the Undercover, we really dare to let technology disappear into the worktop. The result is a kitchen that breathes tranquility and invites you to live rather than just cook,” says Fred van Liere, commercial manager of Novy Netherlands.

Minimalist design, maximum experience

The Undercover reinterprets the kitchen as one continuous surface, in which function and form merge. When not cooking, the surface remains a full work surface, suitable for preparing, dining or working. This visual tranquility fits perfectly into open living spaces where cooking, living and working are increasingly merging. As the name suggests, the technology remains undercover. The cooking zones only light up during use. Operation is via the Novy Controller: a wireless combination of dial and touchscreen that is intuitive, precise and elegant. No visual fuss, no distractions and therefore pure ease of use.

When technology merges into material

The Novy Undercover works exclusively with a 20 mm Dekton worktop developed by Cosentino. This ultra-compact surface is heat-resistant, scratch-resistant and easy to maintain. This creates a kitchen that may be used intensively without sacrificing aesthetics. With more than 40 Dekton designs. Moreover, Dekton is produced completely carbon-neutral, underlining the sustainable approach of both brands.

Functional capability

Beneath the sophisticated design lies powerful technology. The Undercover is available with three or four cooking zones, each rated at up to 3,700 W per zone. Flex zones, automatic pan recognition, grill function and timer modes make it clear that this is not a compromise solution, but a full-fledged cooktop. Thanks to the completely flat surface, the transition between cooking and living is seamless: as soon as the cooking zones cool down, the kitchen function fades back into the background. A subtle red LED warns of residual heat, and optionally a red spotlight can even be projected on the floor. Once the surface has cooled, this signal disappears. The combination of safety, comfort and peace of mind typifies Novy's design philosophy.

Design with confidence

Novy offers a five-year warranty on the induction system, while Cosentino offers a twenty-five-year warranty on the Dekton countertop. That assurance reflects both brands' confidence in this innovative application.
