After the successful restructuring of their catalog and the introduction of updated ceiling luminaires and LED strips, Integratech is now focusing on the next segment: waterproof lighting. The Belgian company is launching a completely revamped range of IP66 luminaires, including the modular HYDRON Advanced series.
"We have made serious efforts to improve and enlarge our range," says Rudy Happaerts of Integratech. "Not only based on how the market is moving, but also according to our own strategy. We want to bring more performant devices to the market in each segment. Now it's the waterproof fixtures' turn."
As with other product groups, Integratech uses the three-way division between Performance, Advance and Essential for its updated waterproof range. This clear structure helps customers choose the right luminaire to suit their technical requirements and budget.
The Performance products achieve up to 185 lumens per watt and fall within energy class B. "For the Advance series, we are aiming for 160 lumens per watt, with an energy class C. That means our customers get more light for less energy," Happaerts explains. "Performance devices seem more expensive at first, but are an investment that quickly pays for itself through lower energy costs."
Robustness is also a focal point. The devices comply with the highest impact resistance standards (IK10 and IK08) and are equipped with through-wiring so that they can be mounted perfectly in line - a frequent request from the market.
The eye-catcher within the updated offering is the HYDRON Advanced, a modular waterproof luminaire with plug-and-play capabilities. This allows installers to easily add a motion sensor (MW) and/or emergency unit without having to go back to the factory.
"Previously, a fixture with sensor or emergency battery had to be produced as a separate unit," Happaerts says. "Now that can simply be done on site with one basic luminaire and separate modules. That makes installation faster, cheaper and more flexible."
In addition, HYDRON is equipped with color temperature and wattage switches, allowing installers to meet many customer demands with a limited number of models. The luminaires are available in three lengths: 600 mm, 1200 mm and 1500 mm, which together with the optional modules allows for a wide range of combinations.
Besides the advanced version, there will also be an Essential version of the HYDRON on the market. This is a non-modular device, but according to Happaerts, "a high-performance device at the most competitive price." It is the first time Integratech has offered a price-sensitive alternative in this segment without compromising on basic performance.
Initial reactions from the market are positive. "Customers are enthusiastic about the modular concept and also price-wise we are in a better position than with the previous generation of devices," said Happaerts.
