Interior design platform ETC. brings together a complete offering for high-end interior design, ranging from furniture and lighting to textiles and finishing materials. Three new companies (Corston, Tile Embassy and All2Design with Fantoni and Fantin) each add something unique to the center in Culemborg.
Corston Architectural Detail, founded in England in 2019, has become an international player in architectural interior detailing. Once the showroom remodel is complete, architects can find the company at ETC.
Corston was born when the founder was looking for the right architectural details for his own home. "When he could not find the right quality and finish, he gathered a team of creative designers and engineers with a shared vision, to create these handmade architectural details himself," says Madelief Boon, responsible for the Dutch-speaking market.
Since early 2023, Corston has also been operating in the Netherlands. With a range of solid brass switches, sockets, door hardware, furniture fittings and lighting, the company offers everything to finish off an interior down to the last detail. "The timeless products, which are always finished in brass, fit into both modern and classic interiors. Thanks to the three finishes: antique brass, bronze and polished nickel, it is possible to coordinate the items."
Recent additions to the collection include new pendant lights with hand-blown shades and Grove, a new line of switchgear. "At 4.5mm, the cover plate of the Grove line is slightly thicker than the 1.5mm of the existing collection, but still very thin. This makes it possible to combine this collection with most existing flush-mounted boxes." The Grove collection will be available from May this year.
According to Boon, Corston has high hopes for coming to ETC. "The pleasant atmosphere in the center is also what we want to radiate. In addition, it suits us completely that professionals and consumers can go to one place for complete furnishing."
Tile Embassy, founded by Jacobine Jonker, is a relatively young player in the interior design industry, but has firmly positioned itself in a short time. Reactions to its presence at ETC. have been positive, according to Jonker. "We have already met many potential customers. For example, I recently had a good conversation with larger property developers. So I am very satisfied."
As an importer and developer, Jonker saw opportunities in the natural stone mosaic market. Her passion lies in developing a scalable and versatile product suitable for a variety of interior applications. "Our mosaic tiles fit perfectly in kitchens and bathrooms, as well as hotel entrances, paneling and pillars. Hospitality establishments can use them to create unique bars and fireplaces, for example."
The carefully selected tiles - marble from Italy, lava stone from Asia and travertine - are a truly natural product that you can treat or allow to age naturally. "I notice that architects respond strongly to the geometric shapes, with which you can realize beautiful things. They are mosaic mats in which the craft remains visible, but can be assembled like normal mosaic tiles."
Italian design with wood or just steel as a starting point: this is what importer All2Design brings to ETC. with the brands Fantoni and Fantin. In Culemborg, All2Design emphatically focuses on the prescriptive branch of the industry. "I see this as an important opportunity to bring both brands to the attention of interior architects, consultants and project professionals differently," says importer Jaco Snip.
All2Design began in 2011 as the exclusive importer of Fantoni, one of the largest wood manufacturers in Europe. This Italian family-owned company is deeply rooted in the furniture industry. "Fantoni thinks and designs from wood, unlike many companies in workplace design that focus more on steel. This is reflected in the collection: Italian design with refined production techniques," Snip said. In addition to designer furniture for workstations and conference rooms, Fantoni also makes high-quality wooden interior acoustic finishes.
Fantin complements All2Design's portfolio. "This company is at the opposite end of the spectrum and focuses on designs in craft steel," Snip said. "Fantin appeals to a broad target market, including interior designers, the residential market and the hospitality industry." The Italian company is known for open cabinet walls and monoblock design kitchens, suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The collection is available in 36 standard powder coat colors and has no minimum order, allowing for individual color choices per project.
With the addition of these new companies, ETC. remains a dynamic place where interior designers and design professionals can discover the latest trends and innovations. On the Trade Days, almost every Monday, all companies are present in the center. Of course, you can also make an appointment for another day. In addition, twice a year the ETC. Design Experience takes place twice a year.
