Simple assembly and many possibilities
Carpentier supplies high-quality ecological cladding in thermal ash, thermal softwood, thermal bamboo, accoya, oak and barnwood, among others. General Manager Heidi Carpentier: "Through our close cooperation with product developers, we can bring innovative and trendy profiles to the market that look very sleek and use an invisible fastening system. This system also installs much easier and faster. Our slogan is not for nothing 'Smart wood for nice places'."
In recent years, Carpentier has seen a shift. The "nice places" the company talks about have long since ceased to be only outdoors. "We specialize in products for both outdoors and indoors. We notice a growing interest in wood for indoor applications (it's not that there is less interest in outdoor applications now)."
To this end, the company offers panels that can be easily mounted with the QuickClip® by Grad fastening system. "This saves time, looks tighter and is also circular. Indeed, our profiles can be easily removed with special disassembly wrenches after which they can be refreshed if necessary. Slats can then be painted and replaced, for example. But, they are also recycled. These possibilities are increasingly important, for example in hotel rooms that one can easily brighten up as a result."
Carpentier explains why Architect@Work is important for the company: "We have a lot of good contacts through the Netherlands, including architects. Through the fair, we keep meeting new architects who put us in touch with potential clients. Moreover, it strengthens the bond with the architects we know and in this way we keep them informed of the latest developments within the extensive range for indoor applications."
"We offer walls in our Architectural line in two of our popular design profiles: Fine line and Plus line. The finish consists of a six-layer color treatment. The beautifully aged metallic colors have been selected in consultation with leading architects. If desired, we can also brush the profiles before applying the 6-layer color treatment. This gives structure to the wood and enhances the natural look. In fact, we can achieve any color the architect has in mind."
So Carpentier's slats and panels are easy to assemble and available in a finish that suits the project. However, the company has another asset behind them. "Acoustics is an important issue. In restaurants, schools and companies, it is often substandard. For this, we offer acoustic panels that are easy to assemble. They are composed of a sound-absorbing glass wool panel of 25 mm and the solid wood QuickClip® profile with an open joint of your choice. These panels can be used to cover an entire ceiling, or entire wall, or part of it. This can also be combined with lighting."
