During Architect@Work Amsterdam 2025, which takes place on Oct. 30 and 31 at De Kromhouthal hall in Amsterdam, Finstral will present two innovative window frame systems with which the manufacturer responds to the need for practical, sustainable and complete unburdening in the modern building process.
The first innovation, the FIN-Fix structural frame, promotes efficiency and flexibility during the wet structural phase. This thermally insulating frame made of recycled PVC can be installed directly on the masonry and offers the possibility of ventilation or temporary sealing with wind foil. Thanks to the short delivery time (within two to three weeks) and assembly of the final frame only after completion of the rough work, construction delays and construction damage are avoided. Replacement of the frame remains problem-free even after decades.

According to Finstral director Patrick de Jonge, the structural frame is a sustainable example of unburdening. “We supervise the installation and the PVC of used window frames can be recycled up to seven times into new window frames, partly because nothing is glued together with us. In addition, they have excellent thermal insulation and the optimally sealed connection interface for all Finstral window frame systems as standard. The properties of FIN-Fix have been confirmed by tests by the Institut für Fenstertechnik Rosenheim.”
The second system, a modular aluminum window frame, is distinguished by an angle-welded PVC profile with all-plastic core, which provides an exceptionally low Uf value of 1.1 W/m²K, significantly better than traditional plastic window frames with 1.8 W/m²K, for example. On the outside this system is finished in aluminum, while for the inside view numerous finishes are possible, ranging from aluminum, inlay (inlaid ceramic, wood and metal) to all-wood. With almost eighty sash variants within one range, Finstral thus offers an unprecedentedly versatile solution for window frames and frame walls.

By participating in Architect@Work, Finstral wants to spark curiosity for both solutions and increase interest from the market. The launch of a new brochure supports that ambition, while curious professionals can experience the products live in the studios in Hoofddorp and Apeldoorn. “We see that people increasingly want to choose their own window frames. This is also because more and more facade choices are possible, both in new construction and renovation. In our studios they get advice and can make their own combinations. There are also demo materials available and (in the case of the structural frames) hand demos for on-site use.”
