Steel doors have become an integral part of our interiors. From homes to business premises and hospitality venues, everywhere the doors provide a timeless design and luxurious appearance. De Rooy Steel Doors' steel interior doors take this one unique step further.
"Thanks to our steel doors, living, working and accommodation areas can be closed in a stylish, efficient and soundproof way, while transparent glass infills guarantee optimal (daylight) penetration and beautiful sightlines," says Herriët Willemsen-de Rooy.
"To enhance this spatial effect, many people choose black door finishes. But metal-look coatings are also becoming increasingly popular, as are unique door lines and surprising glass compositions. Our Royor and Glairon collections match this perfectly and transform the steel door into a true object of art."
The Royor collection concerns an exclusive and elegant collection of coatings incorporating copper, bronze or brass, says Willemsen-de Rooy. "The coatings were developed as an exclusive alternative to powder coating and give steel interior doors an authentic and chic metallic look. The coatings are applied by hand using traditional methods and in multiple layers, with (interior) architects and end customers having the choice of a 'striped' or 'brushed' finish. The 'striped' Royor features distinct stripes, reminiscent of long brush strokes, while the directionless brushed finish of 'brushed' Royor guarantees a softer look and feel. The result of both techniques is a unique and vibrant look you will never tire of."
The noble Royor coatings in Copper, Bronze, Dark Bronze and Brass can be applied to all interior steel doors from De Rooy Steel Doors. From pivot doors to hinged doors and sliding doors, says Willemsen-de Rooy.
"In addition, we have the ability to make coatings a little lighter or a little darker. All coatings are custom made and each steel door is unique."
Royor-coated doors fit perfectly into modern interiors with clean lines, but are also excellent for use in rural and classic living, working and living spaces. "Together with the (interior) architect and end user we like to determine the right door design, the right metal color and the right final finish. We also have our own team of experienced fitters for installation, ensuring high quality in this area as well."
After the successful introduction of the Royor coatings, De Rooy Steel Doors is presenting a unique type of glass for steel doors this year: the Glairon collection. "We are always looking for new ways to surprise customers," says Willemsen-de Rooy. "Glairon is a great example of this and consists of two layers of glass with one layer of metal fabric in between. So the metal fabric is really processed ín the glass, which gives a unique and special effect."
Steel doors with Glairon glass, for example, are suitable for rooms where you don't want to look directly in. Think of work rooms, for example,
fitness, clothing and wine rooms, where all the attention will be on the door from now on. "The Glairon collection currently consists of six designs, with different metallic tones (bronze, brass and copper) and fabric types. In addition, both clear and colored glass is possible. Combined with a good lighting plan, Glairon creates a unique door experience."
Later this year, De Rooy Steel Doors plans to add even more colors and options to the Glairon collection. And the door designs are also evolving, Willemsen-de Rooy says. "We continuously draw inspiration from things around us. But also from collaborations with (international) architects such as Remy Meijers and Osiris Hertman, who come up with surprising ideas for new door lines and material finishes."
As an example, she mentions the use of Alphenberg leather in handles or door fills. But also the choice of patterned or ribbed glass. All possibilities can be viewed without obligation in the showroom of De Rooy Steel Doors in Veenendaal.
