Even the tallest windows are easy to operate
Ventilation helps reduce the transmission of respiratory infections, such as coronavirus. Not for nothing do schools open their windows as much and as far as possible, especially now that spring has arrived. Teleflex's mechanical and electric window remotes provide a fine and convenient tool for this.
A fine example of the solutions supplied and installed by Teleflex can be found in the canteen of the Koning Willem I College in Den Bosch. "Above the moving sashes of the arched windows, with 20 mm, there was only limited space to place a window control," explains Jesse Verheem, operations manager at Teleflex. "That's why a claw mechanism was chosen."
The project was carried out in cooperation with trusted relationship carpentry factory De Brug. "On site we discussed the possibilities and this solution eventually came out of that. The windows are now easy to operate by a simple turn of the handle."
Teleflex's mechanical and electric window remote controls are eagerly found in schools, hospitality areas, office buildings and homes. "Based on the type of window, dimensions, weight and user requirements, we are happy to select the best solutions for each project," Verheem said. "Of course, we take into account the applicable requirements and appearance of the building. We are also happy to provide installation of the systems, after which customers are assured of 2 years of free service and maintenance and 5 years of standard warranty."
If desired, various sensors can be linked to the window remotes, such as a rain and wind sensor. In addition, operation via an app is possible. "In that case, we supply a remote control and application for the smartphone or tablet. All the school still needs is a good wifi connection," Verheem said. The advantage of this new system is that the windows can also be operated remotely.
"As a teacher, do you want to open the window from home ahead of time or did you forget to close all the windows? Then from now on this will be taken care of in no time."
