At Vorstengrafdonk business park in Oss, right next to the A59 freeway, a new Designers House opened on October 30 where the creativity of interior designers and project furnishers is maximally stimulated. A total of eighteen companies showcase their finest products and latest innovations here. From floor and wall finishes to furniture, lighting and artificial plants. In addition, architects, decorators and their clients can discover the exclusive wooden interior doors by Indu Doors®.
The Designers House is an initiative of Meubitrend, which has been creating exclusive and customized furniture for more than forty years. In doing so, the company works closely with project organizers, interior designers, retailers and interior builders. “Well-chosen interior elements are aesthetically and functionally balanced as well as enhancing the interior as a whole,” begins Hobie van Veghel, director of Meubitrend. “In the Designers House we give this the best possible interpretation. Unlike, for example, trade fairs with individual product stands, we have very deliberately chosen to create two complete showrooms: one for the residential market and one for the project market. For the interior design we have involved three architects and a large group of partners, with each product group represented by one specialist partner. This allows us to really complement and strengthen each other.” Between the two showrooms is a beautiful reception area, where there is always a host or hostess on hand to welcome and guide interested parties with a snack and drink.
Eighteen partners have now joined Designers House. “This provides interior architects, project designers and their clients with very complete support,” said Van Veghel. “After all, they can go to one address for inspiration in the areas of interior construction, floor and wall finishes, interior doors, acoustic finishes, upholstery, kitchens, plumbing, lighting, fireplaces, home automation, art planting and interior accessories. In addition, they can see a piece of our production from the showroom. Something is really happening here.”
Because the majority of the products are produced in the Netherlands, far-reaching customization is possible. This certainly also applies to Indu Doors® wooden interior doors. “Many people still think of a door as a basic element of 90 by 260 cm,” knows company manager Jarco Hendriksen of Indu Doors®. “In the Designers House in Oss and in our own showroom in Ede we prove that this can be very different.
We advise, design and produce exclusive custom wooden interior doors in any shape, size, wood type and style. From single or double round doors to corner arrangements and angled doors. By following the design language of the interior, our doors turn into real design statements.”
No matter how simple or complex a project is: in consultation with the architect and client, Indu Doors® is happy to determine the correct shape, style, dimensions, wood type and finish of the interior doors. A service that Van Veghel has found to be very positive. “Indu Doors® thinks very well and creatively in projects. Together with our architect, we visited the showroom in Ede for an interesting brainstorming session. What would Indu Doors® like to show in the Designers House? What shapes, styles and colors are currently popular? What are novelties? And how can we make the doors match our design in the best possible way? This led to a beautiful mix of eight straight and arched wooden interior doors. From sliding doors to single doors, double doors and wooden fronts with glass.”
All doors were measured on site by Indu Doors® and produced in-house, he says. This involved the use of state-of-the-art machinery. But also special molds, which guarantee perfect curves.
The best woods are used to produce the interior doors, including oak, mahogany, bamboo, accoya and fraké. “Because each tree is unique, each door gets its own unique, character,” Hendriksen concludes. “The one constant factor is high quality and durability. Wood is renewable, retains CO2 and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, our interior wooden doors are ecological and recyclable. We work with PEFC and FSC® certified wood, which comes from sustainably managed forests. We also plant a tree with every project we deliver, so that the generation after us can also enjoy a healthy and green living environment.”
