USB-C is becoming the standard for portable electronics, and this evolution is increasingly translating into expectations in residential and professional projects. Niko is responding to this with the Niko dual smart USB-C charger with power delivery 65 W (peak): the first dual built-in USB-C charger on the market with load balancing. A future-oriented wall solution that charges more efficiently thanks to smart power distribution, without compromising on finish or installation comfort.
The Niko dual smart USB-C charger integrates two USB-C ports into one socket and distributes power dynamically according to the connected devices via load balancing, instead of a fixed power per port. Combined with the power delivery protocol, this delivers faster and more efficient charging, even when charging two devices simultaneously. The charging capacity of the built-in USB-C charger is 45 W continuous with a peak up to 65 W, suitable for smartphones, tablets and laptops. Compared to standard built-in chargers, with compatible devices, this can charge up to 50% faster*.

It is a smart, practical and safe solution for new construction and renovation projects that meets today's needs but is also ready for tomorrow. Moreover, that future is increasingly clearly defined by European regulations. Starting this year, laptops will also fall under EU rules around USB-C as a common charging port. The next milestone will follow by 2028: then all USB chargers sold in the EU must have at least one USB-C port.
For installers, the solution combines innovation with practical placement. The dual smart USB-C charger fits into standard flush-mounted boxes and can be flexibly planned until late in the project. In addition, finish consistency within a project remains guaranteed: the flush-mounted USB charger is compatible with Niko Original, Niko Intense, Niko Pure, Niko Rocker and Niko Toggle, allowing functionality to be added without design compromise.
At Niko, new technology goes hand in hand with Belgian quality. The socket with dual USB-C port is CE-compliant and designed with protection against overheating, short-circuiting, overvoltage and overcurrent.
