Duravit equips SILT Hotel Tower in Middelkerke, Belgium with high-quality sanitary facilities
- Sustainable design integrated into coastal landscape
- Harmonious combination of luxury and minimalism
- Elegant bathroom solutions from Duravit
A vast dune landscape, the seemingly endless expanse of the North Sea and gently undulating waves - amid this impressive natural backdrop, the SILT Hotel is rising on the Belgian beach at Middelkerke. Perfectly integrated into the coastal landscape, the four-star hotel forms a harmonious link between beach and city. SILT combines in its well thought-out total concept a casino, a restaurant and a hall for events. With its funnel-shaped tower and organically flowing architecture, the striking building makes an unmistakable statement. The interior design firm TJIP created a unique design that can be seen in every corner of the hotel - right down to the bathrooms. Here, TJIP chose high-quality sanitary products from Duravit. "Duravit has won us over with their expertise," he said. says Thomas Meesschaert, founder and interior designer at TJIP. "The team understood our vision and gave us excellent advice. In addition, Duravit was extremely flexible, allowing us to order custom faucets. This human factor makes it natural for us to work with Duravit again in the future."
TJIP masterfully managed to carry the elegant, minimalist look of the entire hotel into the bathrooms. The interior designers chose natural materials such as stone, marble and wood, which give the bathrooms a simple yet luxurious look. This combination of high-quality materials creates a timeless elegance. Duravit's sanitary products, including the recyclable shower tray Sustano, products from the Architec, D-Neo, DuraStyle, Vero Air and Circle and Wave taps, fit perfectly into this purist design. They enhance and stylishly round off the minimalist concept, creating a harmonious balance between simplicity and elegance.
Each of the 70 luxury rooms at the SILT Hotel offers breathtaking views of the vast North Sea. Warm, neutral tones such as cream, beige and white dominate the interior, subtly contrasted with black accents and natural wood elements and simple organic forms. The interior design firm TJIP deliberately chose simple, high-quality design elements to emphasize the vastness of the landscape and the tranquility of the sea.
Sustainability plays a central role in the SILT Hotel. The hotel uses Accoya wood for the exterior cladding, which increases the sustainability and energy efficiency of the building. Over time, this sustainable material develops a special patina reminiscent of the wood of the harbor area. Recycled materials and smart energy concepts complement this eco-friendly design and actively contribute to reducing the carbon footprint.
